Wok of Fame Restaurant - Nice authentic Chinese food

Something to share for those who loves Chinese food.

Located at Villagio near the end of the Gondola ride, situated on the 2nd floor. For those who love to have some private time and scenary you will enjoy that place.

Serves quite good authentic chinese food, price is reasonable and its worth it if you go in a big group.

Try the Fried pumpkin strips in egg yolk. Taste very nice like wedges with a bit of sweetness. Thats my recommendation.

Here are the numbers for Tandoor

Tandoor (FFC) : 4620110, its a hotline ;-(

Tandoor (Al Saad) : 4446151 better to call from 11am so you can look

for the Manager who can speak in English. It's a

dining restaurant, I haven't been there yet.

I only tried the Delivery from Tandoor FFC

I like their Biryani & Buttered Chicken & Rice Pudding

The timing for Ramadana am still checking for you!

Cheers!

he's one of them Marathon runners. Been running since he was a kid and still does 15 or so kms before work along the Corniche I think. Actually it may be more, cos I do 10kms on the treadmill and I'm a novice!

I'm not sure your dog could keep pace with him lol

a couple of times - a friend of ours likes to stock up on his carbohydrates there (he runs about 15kms every morning!)

I quite like it, but hub wasn't too fussed. I'm not too keen on pasta, though, so go for something else usually.

Just found out hub will be finishing at 2.00p.m. during Ramadan - what a shame the restaurants will be closed! Can't have it both ways I guess :D

went to italian job with some ladies from expatwoman.com, second time last night. Food was good service was good. There were filipino waiter / waitress that sing for us from table to table. They are really a good singer :D

tai chi villagio ...

eventhough the service is good ... i am not too impressed with the taste of the food. I still rather go to thai snack or far east restaurant for thai food.

wok of fame ...

been there once ... and they have so many choices on the menu ... hard to decide which one to get especially when you are hungry. n

That restaurant next to that Thai Chi-Villagio is called Sarai. that's where Ahmd took us for free dinner with Apple, Terramax, SL, me I can't remember the 5th person. Anyway, Sarai food are also delicious just avoid the raw minced meat dish. If you're planning to take your Amor.

Try to order for delivery from Tandoor near Family Food Centre Airport Area, I am not sure if they have another branch in Al Saad.

I will check it out for you later, Miss Jauntie!

I've never tried ordering food to be delivered! I wouldn't know how to tell them where we live! lol

Hub sometimes goes to the FFC for stuff at lunchtime or on the way home, I guess he could order at the Tandoori then wait for it to bring home?

Actually, we almost live on those Mother's Recipe Dhals and Spinach/Cheese microwave meals (shame on me, eh?)

We've been meaning to try that Thai restaurant for AGES but not got around to it. Now I see your recommendation we will try to get there one evening, or after Ramadan.

Have you tried the Arabic/Lebanese one next door do it, by any chance?
