What to do in Ramadan time?

Ramadan is coming and it's going to be my first experience as i've only been in Doha for three months now.

Is it true that all the bars and restaurants will be closed?

If so then what do people do socially during that time??

Where can i go to meet some friends and girls???

Who's gambling? Unless you consider fake millions worth of chips in Facebook. I don't gamble.

Any luck? It will be my 3months here also tomorrow. Bored.

Bars, Clubs are close for a month. Restaurants, malls and most of everything (Billiards, bowling, movie theaters, aqua park, etc) are close at daytime but opens at night.

Pray. Be happy.

p.s. My friend and I go out for a coffee late night or go for a jog at Corniche. We made plans to do something fun and harmless this Ramadan. You are free to join us. No monkey business! Unless you want to play Texas holdem..

Thank you so much! I'm now aware of what to do and i'll pray for the devil to "go away" and i'll stock up on things and share love and spread a smile and positive spirit over those hard moments and soon we'll all be happy again and enjoy the life. :D much love and many thanks!!!!

you can go to the iftar and sohour parties being organized during ramadan in the evenings. other than that, there's nothing much to do.

working hours are shorter but there's nothing to do during the day because everything is closed. better stock up on movies to watch or books to read. or something else to pass the time.

Turn to the lord and pray.. so that your visa out here will continue for some time to come and you will not come across some idiots who masquerade as managers and use excuses like recession to get you out of the way so they can have a free hand at looting the company

shops are open during the day. In these shops, you will witness heavily overloaded shopping carts every single day .. as if people get their last chance to get thier food.. One can imagine where all this enormous amount of food going to every day, to be more specific, every morning, with the sunrise..

While most of public catering venues are closed, many of the restaurants in the 5-star hotels usually serve food during the day.

If you look for external pleasure it gives you temporary pleasure and at the end it leads you in destruction.

That's the evil job. Most of us have evil as close friend and evil does it job excellently by showing external world with sensual pleasure only for temporary and at the end its pave way to the hell and there is no life force in that.
