Thursday Night Outing January 25

Tyler
By Tyler

So for this weeks event I have decided we need to do some drinking.  The events of the last few weeks have all been restaurants so for this week I am suggesting we just stick to a bar.  Rugby Club at 8 PM should work for most.  If you are running late then just show up and have a few drinks.  There is  food available at inexpensive prices and the drinks are cheap as well.  See you guys on Thurs Night!

Sounds like a good idea...see the ladies, damas, femmes, etc, there!

By the way, I think it's great to organize ladies outings Going to bars is fun and all but when no one really knows anyone, it's not exactly the best way to chat...as Xena pointed out.

now we need a group for going to the souqs...any good bargainers around?

i also saw that there was a spanish group around. being that i'm half spanish, does anyone know if the group still exists?

Xena, how about creating a new thread for this so it doesn't get confused with this one?

Evi, is Crep Away good? For those of you not sure where it is, its on Salwa road, just down from Jarir Books store....

Lets meet at about 8.00pm. Confirm here just so I can keep a count and we know more or less how many to book for....

Thanks ladies... will be nice to spend an evening just chatting....

X

Sorry, Ty.... am taking over from you this week and making it chicks only.... not stopping you organising for Thursday night 1/2/2007, though....

Charmed... you in?

I must apologise for not getting to chat much to you ladies on Thursday evening.... One thing about the clubs and pubs, when the music starts, you cannot have a decent conversation.

Why don't we make a plan for next week and just have a ladies night out at a restuarant.... that way we can have a good chat... Unfortunately, Thursday night is no good for me next week as i already have plans... but Wednesday (pre weekend) would be good.....

Let me know

X

Evi, Liana, Novita and any other ladies that wish to join, feel free... we can chat about a venue later....

I volunteer to talk with the person in the FAB dress - someone has to do it :o)

Did a search with the help of the people who is knowledgeble of Doha roads. Here it goes. If you are coming from Doha pass Ramada Signal and proceed to Midmac flyover and proceed to the next R/A. It is called Decoration R/A. Turn right there. Proceed and take 3rd by road to your right. We have put the location of the Rugby club on Google Earth for your easy reference.

I will have an absolutley FAB dress on this evening.....no wait that won't be me or anyone i know, but if you see someone in a fab dress you should probably talk to her.

I know who the rest are.

By Tyler• 25 Jan 2007 09:58
Tyler

The regular group of us is quiteeasy to find. Look for the american guy holding on to a 4'11" british gal (both drinking savannah dry ciders), standing with the black english fella, next to the short american guy, all watched over by the mean looking south african gal.

Or just ask around for me as enough peolple seem to know who I am you should be able to find me.

As for finding the place it is not too hard and directions are above. If in doubt of your navigational ability try a cab!

Hmmm- which personality is coming out today?

Can u or somebody who knows the place send me a mobile no. to contact him if I get lost. I have a very good tract record of getting lost in Doha Roads. my e-mail is [email protected]

Thanks.

I have the same question: how do will I recognize the group?

The game is at 1930 and it is Doha 3rd Team vs Kuwait 1st team. Should be quite close as Kuwait are not very good.

best to get there early. If you are non members you may need a member to sign you in and you will probably (not always) have to pay a nominal fee (QR20)

If need a member just ask to go in and find one and ask the first one you see. By far the majority will be happy to sign you in (ask the young ones)

If you don't fancy that just say you are military as they don't need signing in at all

I will I recognise the QL group???? I will be able to get there for 8.30pm

I'm new to Qatar, haven't seen too much of the area, but like to get out, socialize, and meet new people. So, is this gathering a "Guys Night Out"? If so, then that counts me out.

Maybe a night at a club isn't a good way to meet people for the first time. Is anyone planning a dinner gathering?

Just looking for some cool people to hang with...and would like to make some good girlfriends to go shopping with, etc.
