I'm pretty new in here ... about a month. There was a whole load of plans for spending my extra time having fun and the moment i walked out of Doha airport i knew its a nightmare come true. My party dreams are shattered and now i am trying to circle up with frenz who know how to have fun in Doha with the limited resources available.

Think u r having fun ... share it ...

And as to the original question asked........Yes, I'm having lots of fun here in Bahrain, thanks for asking.

Although I do miss the QL nights out that we had with the regular gang, most of whom have now left Qatar :(

I think you have me confused with someone who gives a sh1t.

lol, dude- I was lucky to have enough friends in doha even before I hit QL. Still I found many more after few gatherings of different groups in QL, which I am not sure wether you are aware of..

The thread owner doesnt have any one known to him around, I guess QL is the right platform for those. cheers

These are not robots whom you interact. they are people and we have met and had enough time together. You must be a an empty nut to say you will get friends to party and club at the sports club. duh!!!

Prasanth - not with that attitude, no.

Your profile says:

"I'm interested in anything datz expensive, fast and unreasonable ..... lets say something like the Murcielago or Maseratti ! In short, i'm an auto-enthusiast. My other areas of interest would range from professional networking to go-karting. Itz rather difficult to judge my interests paticularly but my circle says i am a man of complicated tastes."

Nothing about surfing, clubbing etc. etc.

I ask again:

So what changed when you walked out of the airport?

Why not follow through with you plans you made before you arrived.

Life is what you make out of it.

I thought things were going to turn out bad fro me and my family here in Qatar, but I was wrong!

I think I planned well before I brought my family.

I work in contracting, so I have a long tiresome job and my wife does not drive (and she doesn't want to learn!).

I chose an apartment very close to both a park and a superstore (well close enough=Mira). The family can have fun without me and buy what they need immediately...

During summer, I am sending the family back home until schools start over (I've decided to stay, thanks to all).

I have met plenty of nice people and have had great help in understanding Qatar from this forum. The majority of people are very helpful here in QL.

You could have just asked what to do for fun...

So what changed when you walked out of the airport?

Why not follow through with you plans you made before you arrived.

I looked at your profile to see what interests you and if you are only interested in fast cars (that I doubt neither you nor I can afford) you are going to struggle.
