Thai Community

I have seen previous posts asking if there is a Thai community in Qatar. But they are both old posts and not extremely helpful.

My Thai wife has come to live with me in Qatar and I am looking for Thai's that she can socialize with. I can be found on Facebook with the same ID.

I am also looking for places I could get fruits and vegetables more familiar to her - unripe mangoes and papayas. That she can make food she is familiar with when she has a craving for a taste of home.

Thanks in advance.

I am a Thai housewife too. Maybe me and your wife can keep it touch. For more info about Thai people in Doha. Try adding this person on Facebook.

You can find some ingredient for food at the center mall this is best to find Thai stuff and in front of mall there is Thai corner restaurant. also you can find some ingredient in Lulu, Family food center and other mall but may be not complete set. like tomyum need 3 major kind of leafs but you may find only 2 in one place and try to find the remaining from other place. you can buy fresh papaya, tomato, long bean, chili, lemon from al sadd Food Palace but no Pla-ra.

socialize is good idea but if you know how Thai ppls when they do socialize you will change your mind. tell her to keep some distance is best way. if she want some friend to talk try to start from Thai corner restaurant.
