Soccer Season - Finally - *your prediction*
By Harmagedōn •
I can't wait for soccer season to start in Europe, added bonus at the end of the 09/10 season, the World Cup in SA.
Your predictions for your favorite Leagues
Netherlands
1 - Ajax (new trainer, A-class. Martin Jol)
2 - PSV
(unfortunately my team will not accomplish the same as last year, FC Twente)
Spain
1 - Real Madrid (because they kicked out the Dutch players)
2 - Barcelona
England
1 - Chelsea (although I hope for Liverpool or Arsenal)
2 - Man-U
Germany
1 - Bayern Munich (because of *Master* Loui Van Gaal)
Indeed Brit, sometimes a bit too much.
As goes for McLaren, thusfar he has been a blessing to my little team and the expectation is that he will perform less than last year. Everybody in town is aware of this, hence a couple of losses are forgiven.
As goes for the England squad, just like The Netherlands, Germany, France and other teams, they missed out on an event because of a low peek in quality, now you are back on track. Maybe it could have been prevented, at least we had a Cup without British Hooligans creating mayhem :-P
By the way, if the Netherlands EVER appoints a foreign coach I would be shocked. How can it be that England, a soccer nation, chooses foreigners? You really have none suitable available?
Ohk .. I don follow the whole Europe.
In England -
Arsenal (Yes m too optimistic)
MAN U

Exactly. We have a few, talanted BRITISH managers at the moment...but none of them experienced enough to lead the national team
Mark Hughes - Welsh
David Moyes - Scottish
Steve Bruce - English
Stuart Pearce - English
Stuart Pearce is currently managing the U21 squad and doing ok. He will be next in my opinion.
Also, it is doubtful that Hughes or Moyes would want to manage England.
Alex Ferguson wouldnt dream of it.

Dennis Bergkamp happens to be one of my favourite players to watch. Technically, one of the best to play in the Premiership.
Hes up there with Roberto Baggio and Michel Platini for the most technically gifted player of all time
Yes! we take our football very very seriously..
Hang on...I can understand him talking slowly but why put an accent on? It doesnt make him any easier to understand and I have asked a couple of my Dutch friends. It makes him sound like a plonker
Nothing to do with maturity whatsoever. The national team struggles because of lack of ambition when playing for the national team. We have world class players throughout, we just need a world class partner for Rooney up font.. I dont think Crouch, Defoe, Bent etc cut the mustard at the top level.
Mcclaren was the biggest failure in the last 50 years of the National team. He was 4th choice for the job. It was Steve Mcclaren who recalled Beckham to the squad. Capello sees the benefits of having someone with superb dead ball skills in the set-up.
You think the Brits are very mature when it comes to soccer?
He was being over drammatic.
I don't understand teh "childish" bit ..
Feel like an Orgasm?
The first goal...********************BREAST-TAKING*************
The second, amazing commentator...
DENNIS BERGKAMP BERGKAAAAAAAAAAMP BERGKAMMMMP
BERRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG OHHHHHHHHHHHHH KAMPPPP~~~~
lol
Shows how Childish the Brits are when it comes to soccer.... Again, he was talking to a Dutch and clearly tried to articulate and speak slowly and understandable. Of course, the mighty Brits would not think about that for a split second. Equally, when England did not qualify he found himself in 'crossroads' where the young needed to relieve the old, just like many other coaches have experienced. If your national team wins 4 in a row in a relatively weak group just because Beckham got recalled, something is dead-wrong.
The major problem in England is that there is too many foreigners in the top-teams that block British players from developing.
I loved that interview... very Cheesy and over the top...
i think he was trying to sound like Johan Cryuff :)
Since, Typical Brit, the lady whom conducted the interview is obviously Dutch I think he tried to speak slow and understandable English, as he would rant on in English with his own accent, nobody would understand him.
Yep, the British have not forgiven him for not qualifying.......
Double post
He may be a hero in certain parts of the Netherlands, but the guy is a complete buffoon in England.
I remember watching an interview when he first took over the Twente job. He put on a fake accent for some reason.
OH NOOOOOOO TYPICAL>....
McLaren, the HERO of my town sacked early? No no no... The FC-Twente has suffered amazing losses this year, Elia and Arnautovic next to Robbie Wielleart in the defense, and will have a very difficult year ahead. McLaren has established himself well, and will have to perform utterly poorly before being sacked. Twente can get place 5 or 6 this year, we just have to see how the new players will compensate the loss of two diamonds.
McLaren was THE surprise of the Dutch league, and with all his experience I believe he can manage even with less material. Now, the last match against Sporting was 0 - 0, hence they have home-advantage to reach the next stage/round of the Champions League. Although I do not think Dutch teams have any business in the Champions-League.
England - Chelsea
Liverpool
Man Utd
Everton
Mark Hughes sacked early
Spain - Barcelona
Real Madrid
Atletico Madrid (If they keep Aguero)
Italy - Inter
Fiorentina
AC Milan
France - Lyon
Marseilles
Bordeux
Holland - Ajax
PSV
AZ
Steve Mcclaren sacked early
Germany - Bayern Munich
Borussia Dortmund
Wolfsburg
Ah Brit, I think under Koeman they will drown miserably.
Koeman has a track-record of prices, yet also of creating unrest and bringing clubs down. With Ajax, won the double yet did not make the team better over the following years. With PSV, even though champion he created a mess, and left in a hurry during a thunderstorm of troubles. With Valencia a complete disaster by being way to careless with the senior players. With AZ, he will not be able to reach more than the place 4 or 5. In my opinion he won prices with teams that we supposed to win them, and in the years after he did not add much quality.
He ain't no Van Gaal.
And van Gaal already had his first struggle with the German Media... lol, this guy HATES reporters with passion.
They did well last season and under Ronald Koeman should be able to continue ....
Brit, I am curious... AZ, why? Motivation...
There is only one real league in Europe :O)
BUT..
Netherlands
1 - AZ Alkmaar
2 - Ajax
Spain
1 - Barcelona
2 - Real Madrid
England
1 - Man U
2 - ASrsenal
Germany
1 - Bayern Munich
In England Chelsea and Liverpool have the edge, i want Chelsea to win the EPL.
In Spain Real Madrid's Galacticos cannot stand the brilliance of Messi's Barcelona. So Barcelona is on course for a second consecutive La liga title.
Jose Mourinho's Milan will win a 5th title.
Marseile and Bordaeux will fight for the french champonaire.
Bayern Munich will miss another Bundesliga title this season with defending Champion Wolfsburg, Stuggart playing it to the wire.
Celtic and Rangers will slug it out again, i think Rangers will just do it again.
