no way this is somalia.....looks more of ethiopia especially the moutain top and how its built....must have been a place of mediation for ethiopian monks/priests.

Hi Rachid I have been to Ethiopia and Eritrea but not Somalia/Somaliland.....
So I am not sure.....
but thanks for sharing the photos they are lovely.
I do believe that once upon a time Moghadishu would have been a beautiful place too. Eclectic mix of architecture on the coast..... and they aren't fighting over the beauty of the place. :(

Everybody is right Everybody is wrong, it depend where we stand.
And just for the record, I don't think that's Somalia. Though i'm not 100% certain....I have never actually been in person (but I have seen pictures of what I thought were MOST areas...in my last job when we were bidding for a Telecom Network to be built in all of Somalia).
Stay safe.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?

But the Photos we saw (for proposed tower sights) all over the country were mostly arid and desert. Nothing even close to the photos here.
But perhaps someone FROM Somalia can enlighten us further.

so not true that Somalia is lust, ooopppss i mean lush and vertile just like my country Indonesia????
Everybody is right Everybody is wrong, it depend where we stand.
Rachid that area of Ethiopia that is all lush and lovely is in the north going towards Eritrea....I was there last summer.... beautiful.
The part of Ethiopia that borders Somalia and Somaliland is in the East and is more flat and desert.
Now please correct me if I am wrong....because I could be.... :)
Anyway great photos and reminds me of my holiday....
These photos are from one of the fort near Pune, India.
I think if its somalia then it should be near the border of ethiopia, because i know that ethiopia is just like that.....
