It is a nice place, a very relaxed, chilled place to sit back with a glass and have a chat ... Not too sure about the food however, but the ambiance is nice
yes its true the Jazz Band plays on friday brunch and it is awesome atmosphere food & service. and the same band plays in Jazz club from monday to Saturday. you better go early to get a seat or book if you are planning to have dinner as last time I could not get in the place was packed
Not really what one would imagine of a real 'jazz club' :)
Then again, we are in Doha.
That being said, it is a well laid-out, very modern lounge-style bar. There was nothing wrong with the service that I encountered, of course, always keeping in mind that this is Doha, not the capital of the highest standards in service :)
The band is rather good, really (I can see the guys playing great sets in real jazz clubs), although the choice of vocalist is obviously because she is eye-candy material.
The cocktails are good, the wine list is small and the liquor list is average. Prices are like at the W bar, perhaps a little less.
The biggest down-side was the sound system. They need a good audio engineer to fix that asap :)
Overall, a good place for a drink and live music fix.

I'm definitely going to check some of this out on Friday if anybody cares to link up.

But that's a caveat that one must always apply when rating a place or a service here.
I'm still getting used to it, though :)
Its ok, nothing great but pretty good as per Doha standards. The best thing about the band is the eye candy :-P
Depends which day you're going, but safest is to go in a bit early - 9-9:30. I saw that tables are scarce after 11 or so.
Of course, if you're alone or in a duo/trio, you could also sit at the bar, which is rather nice.
Just remember what I sai dearlier - the sound can get jarringly loud, depending on where you're sitting.
I wouldn't suggest dinner at the Jazz Club. The Cellar next door is way better for a glass of wine and food (tapas portions, but an inspiring menu)
Speaking of brunch, the Cellar is doing an Alpine food Friday lunch (it's suitably air-conditioned indoors ;)), with wine.
I'm going to have to check this out. Do you guys know what time is a good time to go there?

Yes its true and i hope they will act JAZZ so far they sound Jazz.
I heard they also have brunches on Fridays, with the same Jazz band. Is that true? Or Jazz band is playing only nights?

Plus:
Nice classy place.
Minus:
Service is quite slow.
Band is great except for the singer.
Price is comparable with clubs in five star hotels.
