Moroccan in Qatar

Hello! I am posting this question on behalf of my fiance who just moved to Doha, because he doesn't speak English. He is Moroccan and just left his country for the first time. He is there because he met a Qatari man in Morocco last year who offered him a job. However, when he arrived last week, the man put him in a small office and left there alone. He has been sleeping and eating in the office and doesn't know a single person in Qatar besides this man, and this man doesn't come to visit him very often. This is his first time out of his country and he doesn't know what to do/where to go/who he can talk to in Doha. My question is: Is there a community of Arabic-speaking foreigners in Doha that he might be able to join up with? What about Moroccans? Does any body out there have any sort of recommendation for where he could go or what he could do? Because if he stays in this small office much longer I think he will go completely crazy!
Thank you!!
-Samantha

Thanks guys. It looks like the QL group for Moroccans is pretty inactive. Any suggestions for my fiance... A way for him to meet some other Arabic speakers?

No it wasn't a scam. The man works in real estate and he wanted him to come work in the office as basically an office assistant. The work has been REALLY slow though. The man says that people just aren't buying/selling right now, so there won't be work for a little while.

Hello Samantha,

What does he do in that little office aside eat and sleep? Does he actually have a job, or was it a scam from the man who offered him a job?
