Offcourse, as long as they are comfortable then its none of your business. Who are you to tell people what to wear and what not to wear. Stop spreading your stupid practices and petty ideas around here. Perhaps you like the sights & don't want others to enjoy the views too.

Besides that, mini skirts / shorts are not proper attire for the office.

Unless your office is in a gym or such.

Gene_lvl is right. Most, if not all, Companies has a Policy or practice on Dress Code. You should always check with the Company's Personnel / HR regarding this matter. They're the best people who can respond to your questions.

Just mini skirts or mini skirts with a body? hahaha just kidding. :)

Very well said Stacy, one side we fight for women's right, on the other side we conservatives use women as a showpiece & an object in flim, fashion and marketing industries.

I saw a car advert with a women showing almost all her parts or spare parts :P with a double meaning quote underneath her legs about driving her crazy..

there was a case long back where 2 filipinas were wearing indecent cloth in a mall...they were caught and deported

So if you find it wrong complain to the management or talk to them about the custom here and hope they understand or if not then buy them a long skirt and gift it to them..they will understand

Mini Skirt is a debatable office-wear even in non-conservative country.

They're upset because they are not treated like a first class citizen. They can't show overtly provocative public display of affection to their partner. They can't show the newly enhanced cleavage they paid with a lot of money or the newly tanned skin of their upper legs.. They feel their rights to being human has been taken away..They feel oppressed.

Well, BooHoo!

What I don't get is how some people who came here knowing full well the custom and culture of the country, demanded to be treated like what they used to be treated back home.

They say, "When in Rome"...So if you don't like Rome go to Spain instead.

Check with HR or check with your policy and procedure regarding the dress code but, I am pretty sure that it is withing the conform of the office otherwise, HR could have informed them already.

Nevertheless, check with HR to be certain about it.

Good day.

What do you class as a mini skirt?

I'm guessing to you its any skirt above the knee??

I highly doubt that anyone in Qatar would turn up to work in a true mini skirt!

Secondly seeing as an office is technically a private area people are free to wear what they want while inside!

Thirdly it's up to the employer of these two ladies to decide if what they are wearing is appropriate not YOU. If it was your decision to make you wouldn't be asking this question!
