Lebanese and Lebanese restaurants

The funny thing about Lebanese restaurants is that its the non-Lebanese people who fills the seats of the restaurant while the real Lebanese nationals are a lot more filling the nightclubs on many of Dohas famous hotels.

I mean a person of a certain nationality would wanna try to visit a restaurant that serves dishes from back home as they already miss the traditional taste. But this is not the case on Lebanese restaurants.

It makes me think: Does any of Doha hotel bar pubs sell more of their Lebanese traditional meals to make them visit frequently on such places?

Do let me know so that I may as well try the food out in such pubs with me and my non-Lebanese friends.

Why is there such discrimination on this site against Lebanese?

Let each nationality do as they please and as long as no harm is being done to others what is the problem.

The best Lebanese food will be found in Lebanese homes not in restaurants here.

Be nice to each other, stop all this racial discrimination. It's really evil!!!!!!!!!

Is it because a Lebanese chef is not willing to accept a cheap labor salary offer provided by it's own HR/sponsor that's why they hire Indian or other Asian chefs?

I totally agree with kmg... a few rotten apples made a very bad reputation!

Come on guys do you seriously beleive that we are all like this?? stereotyping is just a reflection of ignorance, with no disrespect.

On a side note: I wish to find one single restaurant in Doha that serves authentic Lebanese tabbouleh... or shawerma...

no wonder why we gain so much weight when we go home on vacation :)

Poor lebanese. Maybe we can create a lebanese area only in Doha. Fill it full of overpriced drinks, cheap sports cars, hair gel and credit cards....

trust me guys, there is not restaurant in Doha can make the same food as waht we ave back home.

cause all are lebanese restaurant with indian or asian chef.

exiledsaint. you are 120% right about what you said. most of the people u see in clubs are in a big debt for the banks. cause back home they cant get what they are having here, or the banks will kick them out if they go for a credit card or something like that.this people used to have nothing back home and when they came here and start to make some money, they thought like. yehhh i am the man, look what i have now.

this is why i hate to go to any place were are lebanese like the one u r talking about, even if i am lebanese.

Traditional lebansese cusine consistes of buying the most expensive drink in the bar, prefrably in a fancy glass with an umbrealla while trying to look attractive for the opposite sex... its help to have at least 10 of those drinks so you can forget how much debt you are in to the bank to fund your lavish lifestyle...

Sorry really don't know the answer to that. The places I have been that the lebanese mafia control, err I mean congregate do not seem to serve any lebanese food. So I don't think that can be the reason...
