Ladies supper outing.....

Xena
By Xena

Hi QL ladies.....

I made a suggestion on a previous thread regarding an evening out just for the girls.... I have decided not to call it a "Ladies Night", as that depicts it being a night club party... and that is not what I am trying to organise as I would like some of our muslim ladies to attend too.... So its just "dinner and a get to know each other better" evening.... we might make some lasting friendships here.....

Eviloops suggested Crep Away on Salwa Road, so if you are interested in joining us, let me know how many of you would like to attend so i can book a table for that many people. It will be under the name of Qatar Living Ladies Group (Hey Qatari, hope you don't mind if I use that name....)

Date: Wednesday 31 January, 2007

Time: 8.00pm

Venue: Crep Away, Salwa Road

Please RSVP to [email protected] by Tuesday 4pm the latest so that I can book a table and then please be so kind as to attend.

Hope to see you Wednesday.

If you are coming from West, at Hamad/Salwa intersection you will turn right(away from Ramada). The problem is that you have to go down the road till the r/a and then come back up again. Becareful that you don't end up going over the bridge, then you will end up at Decoration r/a, obviously you can still come back up again, but it will be much further down....

What you might want to do, is keep on going over the Hamad/Salwa intersection, (at which Ramada will then be on your left), and just after the signal you will see a slip road to the right that will take you to Caravan, Coffee Beanery, Pizza Hut. If you take that and then follow the road back again, it will take you to the parking area of Mannai Corp and those shops down from Johnny's and Lenotre.... That is where you want to be....

Mail me if you need my mobile number and I will send it to you if you get lost.... [email protected]

if you can see the Mannai indication on the map you found the spot - but the easiest thing would be to go straight out the Hamad street - and take the first right - about 150 m from the intersection at the coffee beanery - and then go by all the fast food outlets till you come to the exit on salwa road, then park close to the ponderosa...

When the s*** hits the fan...

I'm looking at a map of Doha. I'll be coming from the west side of Doha. When I get to the intersection of Hamad Street and Salwa road, do I turn left onto Salwa (going towards the Corniche) or right?

most of the time parking in front of crept away is a pain... you can park in Starbucks or around that area and walked there.

I don't think you would be alone Ahmad. I went to Pakistan last week. I am sitting in the Majlis area when I here a knock on the door. I open it and take a glance to see womens clothing. However I noticed a funny shadow on the face. I call my sister in law that a lady was at the door for her.

My family had a good laugh at me because that really wasn't a lady. :-)

Thursdays and Friday are difficult as most people do things with families....

I have no idea about the Merwebs ladies night.... but not really interested in going to night clubs as like I said, i was wanting to get some of our muslim ladies to join us... and they wouldn't be comfortable there....

But hope you attend next time....

Xena, I wish I could join you all and chat with all these gorgeous ladies around the world especially the MEAN LOOKING SOUTH AFRICAN LADY..lol. But 8:00 PM is not convenient for me. If you could arrange something for Thur or Friday evening, i think more ladies would be able to attend.

Btw do you know cloud nyn in Merwaab still have ladies night? they used to have tuesday nights only for ladies.

seeing as though only 4 of us know each other... I thought we would spend the evening getting to know the other 5 ladies that have RSVP'd....

So I wouldn't say that we will be discussing men in general... don't flatter yourself...

The idea to make it ladies only, is because I wanted to..... Can we not go out and just have an evening without men? We just want to sit and have a good dinner and some ladies conversation for a change.....

If you wanted to come to a co-ed party, you should have joined us last Thursday night at the Rugby club....

Take care
