HP stops producing smartphones, computers..
Shocking news to all HP users!
"HP shocked the technology world this week when it announced that it is considering thespin-off or sale of its personal computer business, and is also dropping its operations for webOS devices -- which they acquired just sixteen months ago for $1.2 billion. Instead, the company will be focusing its efforts on more profitable endeavors such as selling enterprise products and services.
HP is and has been for a few years the largest PC maker in the world, so its potential exit from the market certainly is surprising, but it also serves as an indication of how much of a commodity the personal computer has become. No matter what brand you look at the hardware inside modern PCs is nearly the same, and with mainstream systems powerful enough for most users it's getting harder for PC makers to squeeze bigger profits by selling high-end machines."
One thing I cannot deny is that, Hp's laptop battery sucks... Mine got busted easily though I don't know if there's a proper way of using it, like don't use the main power if the battery is full or something. Well, but over all it's still all good...
I've had my HP DV7 for 1.5 years and I've had to have it returned for fixing once after 7 months. And about 3 months ago the battery died altogether so I could only run it through AC mains - even though I never ran it on battery anyway.I liked the power and functionality it had, but it was too prone to breaking down and overheating for my liking.I've been looking at Dell laptops recently, in particular the gaming Alienware ones. I'm pretty sure that's going to be my next laptop investment. So all the best to the folks at HP, but I won't be destitute without them.
Hp laptops are not crap. I've been using one for almost two years, it even help me get through my thesis back in college and still up to now it's working fine but I let it go because it's ancient in terms of specs. One just need how to properly use and maintain a unit to gain it's maximum usage. Don't use it like a crap so it wouldn't turn into one.
HP laptops are the most CRAP laptops i'v ever used !! 2 laptops (one by one) dead in almost a year!
Sad news, and it means that there will be no longer any product support or replacement parts made to the existing product lines.. :-(
itz too sad to hear that a big gaint of pc business is leavin the court for itz competitors............
Excellent news! With 2 dead HP laptops within 4 months, both motherboards dead, I am happy to hear they will stop producing crap! Leave the professional brands to give us the quality and value for money we deserve (such as Dell, which I am very happy with).
Sheew, i don't even use HP....
very bad news
