I'm back! after a really busy week...

I've met some of you, guys and girls. And I have to admit that I had some good time with you. Some frenchies I saw are really cute... It's amazing to come to Qatar to date with some frenchies...

No names!

By Lou• 8 Mar 2007 13:34
Lou

did you ask me to let you know when i'll be going to the RG?

By Cherie• 8 Mar 2007 13:26
Cherie

Who how what ??!

Cherie,

By anali• 8 Mar 2007 11:18
anali

let me know when you'll go there !!

Maybe we should invite as well this unreal american girl to see what she really looks like... I really want to meet such a phenomenon... just to see how it works!

Cherie, will you join us ?

By Lou• 7 Mar 2007 11:07
Lou

see you at the rugby club. i hope i make it and also that i recognize QL people.

but aray, this idea with username tags is not such a bad one... ha ha ha imagine that

By anali• 7 Mar 2007 09:36
anali

for sure, and it's only a 3-hour program so it doesn't bother you guys who can't understand french during a long time.

kofe it's a good start... learn french!! Lol

By kofe• 7 Mar 2007 09:23
kofe

I understand that a broadcast in your own language would definetly be nice to listen too. Maybe i should learn french?

Bonjur! ju mapel* Jared!

lol~

think i better stick to english.

By anali• 7 Mar 2007 09:12
anali

french transmission also broadcasts good music (even if non french speakers can't understand them)... But at the end, there are a lot of english musics people are used to listen to, without understanding a single word.

I have a really good time from 1 to 4, sounds like home culture.

By kofe• 7 Mar 2007 09:03
kofe

:( I like QBS when i understand it. please don't take away one of the few english/western music playing stations, someone needs to convince the airbase to transmit 101.3 downtown

By anali• 7 Mar 2007 08:57
anali

It seems that french people are getting more and more represented in Qatar. Be careful, QBS will soon be obliged to give half a day to french transmission...

Hi again,

Thanks Novita77 (I don't know if that advice was actually to me - but thanks anyway) & Lou (definitely advice for me, so special thanks!). It's very funny that you say 'check out your competition' Lou. I'm just out for a few drinks and laughs while I'm here, but thanks for the heads up. Lol. I think I'll head to the Rugby Club at some point to check it out. Hopefully I might run into some of you there (unfortunately not you Novita, we don't want you getting locked out!)and shout you a brew, though I'm sure you don't walk around with your username plastered on your forehead!! Lol. Take care, thanks again.

i normally come to their meeting if it is in the restaurant for dinner. I don't drink and hate smokey place, so going boozing in night club is not my scene. Furthermore i have a family on my own, so if i go out everynight i am afraid my husband would lock me out lol.

Never been to rugby club ... single woman should be ok going there (that place full with expats) ... why don't u go out with Xena and Tyler and Eviloops, i am sure they are more than happy you tagging along with them.

Yes rugby club serving alcohol ... and cheaper than hotels.

By anali• 6 Mar 2007 11:05
anali

thanks guys for the advice

novita, dou you go out as well on a regular basis ?

IS rugby club is allowed to serve alcohol ? Is it ok for a single woman to go there alone ? Surrounded by a bunch of guys...

By novita77• 6 Mar 2007 10:58
novita77

there are bunch of single guys/girls who go out in regular basis. They are tyler, xena, eviloops, vasques. I recommend them to you because i have met them in person.

You should be ok when you tag along with their get together ... they are nice kind of crowd.

By Lou• 6 Mar 2007 10:55
Lou

hey.

here's my experience with Doha.

there are few nice places in Doha. i still haven't been to the Rugby club but i'm hoping to check it out soon.

There's a Paloma club at the Intercon hotel with live music twice a week, you might wanna check out your competition :)

and Admirals at the Ritz has some fun nights, there's like an Arab music night which is fun.

it all depends what type of fun you like. I want to find a place that's more like a pub with people knowing each other after a while and i guess the rugby club might be like that.

By anali• 6 Mar 2007 09:26
anali

thank you!

I appreciate your friendship offer. E-mail me so that I can know you better.

Cherie, you're totally crazy... Are you Mike's female clone ??

Hey Guys,

I'm from Sydney and I'm heading to Doha at the end of this week for two weeks, but I think I'll be back and forward from here quite a bit so it could be cool to have some mates here. I landed a job singing and as a production assisstant. I was hoping for advice on where to go for a drink. I like pubs/clubs and just general good nights out. I've heard the Rugby Club is supposed to be quite good.?? Anyone been there.
