Hey girls

Think we need to organise another girls dinner.  So, if you are keen, please let me know.  All ladies are most welcome to join.  The last one brought 9 of us together and we had some brilliant conversation, so lets see how many ladies we can get together this time.

Date:  Wednesday, March 14

Time:  7pm

Venue: Doha Club (there is a restuarant on the left as you take the slipway towards the Doha club.  Not sure of the name.)  Will send directions to anyone not sure of the place

RSVP: Tuesday 4pm

Hi Girls,

So bummed I missed the latest dinner! Been laying low on the forum and totally missed the invite. Will try to be at the next one for sure as I had a great time at the first one. Can't make it Saturday. Headed out to Inland Sea. Novita, have a nice trip.

yes why NOT make it co-ed? Some of us actually do drink tea sometimes(like every 2 years or so)

When the s*** hits the fan...

if you're in for saturday, just confirm anytime before 3 pm on Saturday by either texting or calling.

obviously, if i'm out hunting...er, at the souqs, i won't be able to check the QL website.

As long as one person want to go, then tea time is on (why does that always make me giggle? tee tee, tee tee... :-)

should we make this co-ed?

time: 3 pm at the Four Seasons tea lounge

Sorry, but won't be able to join you on Saturday as I am back at work and will be the one responsible for seeing that all the pages are out on time....

Have fun.... but, if you are still together by about 6.30 7.. let me know and I will join you where ever you are....

i feel its my duty to explore all shopping areas so that i can help out the QL community. that's my story and i'm sticking to it!

actually, the souq shopping on saturday will be more like an exploration mission to familiarize myself with the different areas so that i won't get lost when i take the visitors there next week.

so, it sounds like afternoon tea - aren't we hoity toity - is on for saturday? i think tea time is at 3 pm so we can plan to get there around that time....then city center after!

i actually DID want to check out sana since it seems that everyone has gotten such great deals there.

cheapskate ... :-)

So after your morning shopping you'd like to take a break on saturday before the evening session? ha ha

i think it's a good idea. I know four seasons has a very fancy tea lounge and great sweets so sounds like a 'posh' afternoon, and then we'll continue and go to 'sana' :))

Hi ladies!

Dinner was a lot of fun and I enjoyed meeting the new women that came out. I'm looking forward to our next get-together.

In the meantime, maybe we can do the afternoon tea at the Four Seasons this Saturday? So posh...yeah, we all know it's just an excuse to eat decadent food and then go shopping afterwards!

Has anyone been to the afternoon tea anywhere else? I wish they'd call it something else because it sounds so high brow but it's not.

And I'd love to try LeNotre Paris (near Ramada) or La Dolce Vite (The Ritz) some afternoon to satisfy my sweet tooth.

sounds like we will have a nice group together....

The place we are going to, doesn't really require a reservation as there is ample room for everyone....

weather dependant, we can sit on the jetty, or in one of the Majlis's.....

so, I think what we should do is gather in the court yard of the place and we decide which way from there.

So the courtyard at 7pm. Sure you won't miss a group of ladies standing around looking lost....hehehe...

see you then....

It's not too late so come join in! this goes for other ladies as well.

just look for a group of ladies sitting together or ask for the QL group.

I'll be a little late due to work obligations but I'll be wearing a pair of jeans, a white wraparound shirt with gold pinstripes on it and a cute pair of cream slingback kitten heels.

Xena, care to add anything?

If you are coming from Marriot side, take the road to the cornish and go right at the (name unknown) R/A that would take you to Museum R/A (or the perfume bottles) as many people call them.

Just after you have gone right, you will see the sign to Doha Club, turn right at the first road you get to after that, and then then first road left.

Park in the parking bays on the left hand side and walk towards the building that is on the left where you parked. I think the place is called Ras Al Nasaa.

If you are coming from Museum R/A then when you go around the R/A, go towards Marriot. At the R/A you would take to go to Marriot, do a complete circle and go back down cornish and then follow the instructions as above after the Doha Club sign.

We can decide if we want to sit on the jetty or inside on the evening, depending on the weather.

Call me if you are not sure about anything. If you don't have my number send me an email and I will forward it to you.

count me in and i'll invite some other gal friends as well.

i kind of forgot how to get there - do i do a u-turn at the perfume bottle roundabout from the corniche?

and what about doing a brunch/lunch/late lunch on saturday (or friday, whichever) and opening it up to all - that way, the guys can't complain :-)
