A lot of soccer is played on the green field at the airport. Maybe I will check on one Friday and inform you all. Maybe after holidays we can meet regulary.

Well, finally got the good news, and I'm on my way to Doha this August. Will defo be looking for a regular footy game. I know it is still a ways off, and even longer till the heat allows, but I am very excited to get back out playing!

See youz soon

So I think we should start playing now! I `ve seen yesterday, that there are several people palying on the green at the airport. The grass looks like on a golf course, it is between the airport and the new airport road. I asked somebody, it was around 4:30 p.m. and hesaid that they play evey week. So what do think? Shall we fix a time for next friday? I would prefer early morning (8-10) so I can spend the afternoon and the evening with my kids. Please give me your posts!

Hello all.

Sorry, but i don't have a PC at home. So as i didn't hear from any one by Thursday evening on this site or a phone call over the weekend i guessed nothing happened.

It seems plenty of people want to play but no one wants to commit to a date? I have been here only a month, so anyone who knows this place better than me (i'm sure there are a few of you), please state a good place to play & maybe we can commit to a day & time?

Hi all,

I am thinking of coming out to work in Doha, and I would be well up for kicking the ball around! What is the "local scene" like? I have been hearing some less than flattering PR about the excitement levels in Doha, but if there is footy, it can't be all bad! My wife might have stricter criteria, but then again, she's crap at footy. No left foot!

Cheers, maybe I'll be seeing you soon!
