We just received very sad news ...

One of our colleague’s whole FAMILY back in Syria has MURDERED BY ASSAD’S FORCES IN THE MOST BRUTAL OF MASSACRES. ):
The family who was taking refuge in one of the remote farms in the countryside had their camp invaded by Assad’s troops and were brutally and mercilessly tortured and murdered by his blood notorious gangs.
They were all executed with white weapon after suffering unspeakable brutality.
Some of them children and women had their throats cut limbs disjoined.

There will not be an invasion. I expect a "no fly zone" in place within a couple of months and then events should follow as per Libya..

When is the invasion gonna start, wht is taking so long to take this mad man out, or is it tht there is nothing to gain for the normal invaders????

what themorpheous said I agree with. The sad thing is that no matter what everyone wants to do to help, we are all powerless. It's truly horrible what is going on in Syria - my heart bleeds for all those poor people trapped there with nowhere to go.

My only very tiny contribution is to buy things I find from or made in Syria in the hope that my purchases might go toward someone that can help their own back home.

So sorry to hear about your friends. R.I.P. :(

May they rest in peace.

Syria , like many before it is now a pawn in a wider game of chess.

Attrocities being committed by both sides in the name of freedom.

Let us hope and pray that all see sense soon and the country is at peace again.

Sadly, the mental wounds will take generations to heal..

Yet another heartbreaking story from Syria. Yet despite the bleakness and pain, thank you for the reminder MN. Truly wish though I could do more for all those innocents being tortured and butchered over there, but at least donating to the cause, however we can, is still something better than nothing.

May Allah grant your friend the courage and strength to get through his trial..Aameen!

Folks are right. There is very little or nothing that donations will do. Donations go in the wrong hands and are used to further strengthen the ones doing harm. Sorry to hear the sad news.

Sorry to hear that but such things will always happen in the prevailing situation of Syria. We can only pray for them.
