Death

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.

Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

Bang! Bang! Aaarggghhh!

Death is the permanent termination of life. It refers to both a particular event and to the condition that results thereby. The true nature of the latter has for millennia been a central concern of the world's religious traditions and of philosophical enquiry. Religions, almost without exception, maintain faith in either some kind of afterlife or reincarnation. The effect of physical death on any possible mind or soul remains an open question. Contemporary science regards organismic death as final by definition. : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death

Part of living is dying, like light to darkness.

What matters now is how will they look upon you after your death.

For me becoming an immortal is not living forever but being remembered eternally, that is, you will live in the hearts and minds of the people you shared your life with.

"Oh well..."

This is one of the examples of "changing the world one case at a time" I hope that they will understand it in the same way that you want to express your message.

Living life to the fullest will make you ready to face the final curtain (death).

Living your life without regrets by planning careful steps and doing what you have to do will make it more meaningful.

The way you live your life will give you courage to face your death.

Tears might flow from your eyes because of your fear of losing but when it subside you will realize that it all so amusing.

Knowing that you have done your best. You have said what you truly feels and not just those words that makes them admire you.

Knowing that you have found the purpose of your life and to share it with others.

Doing it all by yourself without shyness and regrets

will prepare you to face your final curtain.

Preeminent comment jazigroomer... you're pretty close to the message of the thread.

"Letting go to know the truth.. Is not so hard to do "

not to change the path of this thread.... but the lyrics to the song above are about living and the way he chose to live his life, not about death.

Death, the eternal subject....

We all die. It will come. There's no way to stop it and extend life.

I like this quote from a TV show:

"Life, every minute is borrowed time" — (Meredith Grey, Grey's Anatomy S05E18 "Stand By Me")

I dont fear death...I am ready to die any moment...but after my brother's sudden death...I wish I dont die before my Mom....she cannot take anymore pain...

Losing a son/daughter is more painful than losing a husband/wife or parents...

Did you notice how MJ became "a normal celebrity", and not a pedophile after he died... All they talk about on TV is how great he was.

they're only famous while alive, when we die and face our Creator, we're all just humans.

Agree with you. At the end of the day, we are all human and one day must go to meet our maker (no offense to Atheists)

The secret is to live a good life and be a good human being. Death should not be feared. It comes to us all..
