Corniche
yesterday, we spent a few hours spare time sitting at the corniche nearby Sheraton. When the prayer time ringing, as we know together, people who are Islamic prayer directly to the pad or sajadah which has been prepared before, but some of them also pray on grass.
Oddity that I saw, on the other corner there is also a woman running while holding the ropes animal. There is the possibility animal waste the dirt which become unclean for Muslims when the dirt is exposed.
lmfaoooooooooooo @ edifis
ferdhous what is 'ropes animal'???
wild desert cats ropped to strange women on soiled dirt.
qatarisun I think it would be a big problem...if it was "a" instead of "o" in "roped"
i wish it would be the last and biggest problem in my life: "running women and roped animals (ANIMAILS??) on the Corniche wasting their dirt (??) on the grass"...
***sigh***

"ropes animal" - that is absolute genius.
If there is Mosque on the Corniche.. why not a multi faith prayer room for all faiths?..

where they have carpets (next to old toilets)you can pray there.
I LOVE the "ropes animal" phrase!
Mandi
There is rope animal shit on grass, the fly sits on the shit. Fly lick the shit. Then fly fly away! Then fly sit on some muslim. Prayer bell rings. Then muslim cannot pray!
unless we all live in a sterile bubble, there is nowhere truly clean to pray.
I have seen Muslim and Western women change diapers (nappies to me) on the grass in some parks at the cornice.
If you want to pray in a truly 'clean' environment, then go to the mosque.
My thoughts are my own, but I doubt my Mum would agree with some of them.

come to prayer, Hayya 'alal-falah- come to success.
You must go to masjid, men must pray in congregration
and not like women
Alhumdullilah I dont own camels and elephants else I will bring them all to corniche.
TSE is the best for the grass and it has good fertilising qualities.. The grass in considered cleans as the ground filters the TSe water and the small suspended solids become fertisers..
So no need to worry...lol

People sit and kids play on grass too. Not to mention they pick the food that fell off.
I don't think there is a reason for people to stop praying there as long as they're on a clean cloth.
Salam
and maybe a flying bird waste the dirt at sajadah or a cat did also jk
you said maybe and as far i know if you are sure that the grass is dirty you cant pray on it otherwise you can.
dora no there is no corner on the Corniche.. Thank God for that otherswise, Mr Patel would have opened his Corner shop there by now..lol

Is Grass really clean here in Doha? Considering that most of the water used to irrigate the green landscaping and plants if Treated Sewage Effleuent (TSE) and it not fit for human use.
So if the water that is used to water the grass is not fully clean (even though it is very good for plants and grass) is the grass then considered clean?

Is there a corner on the corniche?
You're right, that's why we take a prayer mat or any piece of clean cloth for prayer.
One chooses a spot they believe is clean. If there is dog waste, it will surely smell.
Salam
thats why there is public mosques , thats why there is a lot of time between the first prayer call and the second one to give people chance to find clean spot and to wash .
come on now!!
What is a 'ropes animal'?
