Bungee Jumping at The Pearl - Qatar

If you're into adventure and dreaming to feel the free-fall, then head to The Pearl-Qatar on Thursday when thrill-seeking enthusiasts are expected to gather for three days of fun.

The venue for this year’s Bungee Jumping is the open area near the entrance to the island. 

• Thursday, March 13 - from 4pm till 8pm
• Friday, March 14 - full day
• Sat, March 15 - full day

"The choice of open area for Bungee Jumping will undoubtedly provide the perfect setting for this event with a once in a life time experience. It will also give viewers the opportunity to enjoy great views while taking the leap," A spokesman for the Xploriders said.

Bungee jumping is an activity that involves jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. 

The tall structure is usually a fixed object, such as a building, bridge or crane; but it is also possible to jump from a movable object, such as a hot-air-balloon or helicopter, that has the ability to hover above the ground. 

The thrill comes from the free-falling and the rebound. When the person jumps, the cord stretches and the jumper flies upwards again as the cord recoils.

It is worth mentioning that in the coming days, The Pearl-Qatar will host an array of unique events. 

To begin with, the third and fourth rounds of the Qatar Drag Race Championship organized by Qatar Marine Sports Federation will be held on March 28 - 29 at Marina in Porto Arabia at The Pearl Qatar. 

Then on March 29, the Island will observe the ‘Earth Hour.’ 

The Pearl-Qatar will also mark the annual ‘Residents Day’ on March 28, where senior company officials will spend the day with residents in celebration of this special day.
