Best Way to Meet New People....

chi-doha-08
By chi-doha-08

Hey, I'm moving from Chicago to Doha sometime late July, and was wondering what was the best way to meet new people. I'm 23 years old, so would love to have a group of friends to hang out when I'm not at work or on the weekends. I'm a Muslim, so don't really go out too much to bars/clubs/parties, but am still a social guy. Any advice on the best ways to meet new people? Thanks.

you got a point for posting that.

and i just got one for posting this!

Original poster: I agree meeting new people in doha is not as easy, especially if you're new here and don't know where to look.

fortunately enough, they have the internet, and QL.

look up people's profile that match your desired age/nationality/gender/interests/etc., and message them.

you can try starting a new meetup thread or gathering of interesting characters. i've done that a few times with people here from QL, and i've made quite a few friends that way.

Well, as you are a muslim, you can't obviously do the only thing to do in Doha, and that is drink alcohol in the few hotel bars that sell it! Otherwise it can be stiflingly boring!
