Been to Sushi Minto?

I saw the menu at Sushi Binto and found out that the Japanese food menu is bloody too expensive. One single sushi costs like 35QR, this is crazy. Now I know where to go for Japanese food....Moon Palace is the best. Any opinion about this guys?

I went to Sushi Minto on Friday for its brunch and couldnt believe how good it was. I keep hearing about how expensive it is as a Sushi Restaurant and saw the Ad in the paper last week. 99 QR for brunch and the food was excellent. of course you expect these type of offers to offer a lesser quality or smaller portions but it didnt. a full array of sushi and maki rolls, Asian style hots dishes and international food for those who dont like sushi. Ive got to say i thought it was excellent value for money and especially as fish is so expensive. When i was there they told me about Sushi Madness on Sunday's & Monday nights. Me & the wife decided to pop along and were surprised as to the food on offer and the excellent vibe in the restaurant. They are offering an unlimited serving of sushi, sashimi and maki rolls but with the pleasure of it being served at your table in boats. We could only manage 2 boats much to my dismay especially as this was only 99 QR per person. I think what Sushi Minto is doing by offering a normally expensive style of food for manageable prices is brilliant. I dont know how anyone can complain they are expensive when after all they are serving a high end lifestyle product. our total bill last night was 266 QR and we left there very happy. All i can say is to all those that have not tried it you should, to all those who complain about the price, you shouldnt and to all those who intend giving it a go, see you there as i am now a converted Sushi Minto fan and will no longer be taking my business to Neo or La Cigale as they are way more expensive than Sushi Minto and certainly not as good

Keep it up Sushi Minto

Yes, It is a nice place and expensive because located in 5 star hotel. Do not order a la carte, for sure it will kill your pocket ;)

Where else you can get all you can eat sushi and sashimi + mineral water + coffee/tea + nice atmosphere + friendly staff with 99QR nett? I bet you will love it..

Try the All you can eat SUSHI and SASHIMI in Al Dana, Sharq Village and Spa. Sushi Obsession every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for 99QR net include mineral water and coffee/tea. It is soo worth it...

The chef prepared the sushi a la minute and it was fresh, you can have it as much as you like...

If you are a couple I suggest you to take the other package, 399QR net for 2 person include mineral water and coffee/tea + Riesling (white wine).. The wine goes well with the sashimi.. Two thumbs up!!

Sushi they serve is very good. Tamara Uki is my favorite. The price is a lil bit expensive but you don't eat sushi every night. so its better to eat it where it worths.

Yep, went there last week. Not bad, wish they had kept some of the old Mint Furniture though. The food was excellent, although I prefer Oishi Sushi. Came out in wrong order though and my pregnant wife was politely told that she couldn't eat Sushi. (Really? A revelation that one...) but they had other food on the menu which she could eat without a problem.

If you have the choice, go for Oishi Sushi and take a private room. Nice ambiance and the service is better.

Oh, and another big complaint they were letting smokers smoke inside which I cant stand, but that is pretty much all of Doha... Hhhmmn, maybe time for another rant on a different thread.
