Beauties and their beautiful beasts!
I go out for an evening of happiness watching my favourite beasts - horses - in action and my camera's batteries die on me. I was fuming. I still am.
But if a little lithium-ion battery thought it would take the fight out of this 60+ grandmother of three, who has seen many tougher battles in life, then it was sadly mistaken.
These pictures were taken on my iPhone. The lights at the venue were brilliant and it came out better than I thought it would.
Never say die, I say! HA!
Post Script: This is going to be a mass of pictures from now on. Hence, if anyone is interested, this is the final of the Global Champions Tour event. The world's top show jumpers are participating. The GCT will have it's grand finale on Saturday, from 9.30pm onwards. It's a great place to see horses up close. Don't miss it, it'll be worth the visit.

this is at Equestrian Club... they have on-going tournament since 11th of this month....
a lot of events goin on here in Doha (though some are not that advertised in papers)

Boston, there weren't too many empty seats. What you see on the right side are actually tables, where the officials sit. I'm sure the attendance will be much better on the final day - Saturday (I won't be there, though. Got to watch my boys play them Samba boys)

Brit, I didn't use the word 'beasts', about Gee Gees, in a derogatory manner. They aren't humans, and hence beasts (tamed beasts and beautiful too)
Hms and Formatted oul, when you go from Khalifa Stadium towards Villaggio, keep going straight. Take a free right from the big signal soon after Hyatt Plaza. Cross the first round about and keep heading straight. Once you finish the first round about, you can see big huge white lights on your left side. That is the Equestrian Club. You reach a BIG roundabout soon after, take a left from the round about to enter the premises.

Gee Gees are beautiful and should not be labeled as beasts.
Boston - hardly surprising, I saw only one ad and that was earlier this week.
People need notice, AND they actually need telling about these events.
