want to know whats happening around the city! I used to spend Thursday nights at the Irish bar- but want to know if La Paloma has improved? Crystal Lounge has a better crowd? What else is worth going to? I am going to the laughter factory next month- but ready to socialise again and party now!

Hey guys,

On Thursdays and Fridays, if you are black hared and black eyes with an accent that suggests Arab decent, don't go there... they'll screen you out at the door... and guess what, you'll be screened out by an Arab Egyptian!!!!!!

Thanks- it's good to be back .....Irish harp/ Irish Bar whatever- nobody calls it the former! In any case, I am a member of them all; piano bar (dull) Irish (Nice but getting a bit boring), The Cube ( nice music but too big a dance floor) Crystal lounge (people there can be arrogant)..... Must admit that the Skyview is great to sip coctails mid week. Ramada great for the laughter factory and their quiz....La Paloma has just gone down hill. Waterhole- great music but dodgy crowd!.....

since there are no any other Irish bars in Doha, I guess, you mean "Irish Harp"? even though if you used to spend Thursday nights there, you should know the right name of it.(Why nobody calls Irish Village in Dubai Irish pub (or bar)? everyone knows: this is Irish VILLAGE)

Second, now in order to get into your favorite pub, you have to be its member, i.e to get a membership card..

..about crowd in Crystal Lounge, "better" is a relevant term.. what's better for me can be exact antipode for you and otherwise....

welcome back to Doha...
