Any Locals/Qatarys?

ASSALAMUALAIKUM.

I am new in Qatar and working here in a Construction firm as Engineer.

Right now Qatar is the place I prefer to stay, safe, affordable, family oriented lifestyle, love my job and friends. Here in public places , No junkies, no smell, no dirt. It's this kind of thing that makes such a difference...
I feel safe here. Many other reasons but most of those is due to my own personal politics so will not elaborate. I love my job, I love working with the crazy and diverse demographic of this place. I love the fact that kids can play outside on their bikes without being scared of strange men hanging about.
Here No serious crimes , Very good traffic manners. People are considering the others too(In Our country not like that. If any one driving, he thinks that he is only one in the road. They are not considering others)
Government gives here the best medical ( Hammad Medical Hospital ) ...
food is easy to come by , gas prices are the lowest .etc etc etc ...
in all My every day life needs are pretty much stable here.
its a sweet place ...

But I don’t have any Local Arabs(Qatari) friends to mingle ,share and to learn there culture and custom.

I would like to make good relation with local educated people.

I hope it will make me more happy and can hold the culture and more can live according to dheen.

Please write to me if any one interested..

With Love and Prayers...

Salax .. both are same. From the state of Kerala, south India. Mallu came from the word Malayali ( one who speaks Malayalam).

Malayalam is the monther tongue of Keralites.

I think almost 90% of the Indian expatriates in GCC countries must be Keralites. IN all positions from labourers to CEOs....

There are many business giants too.. including the emkey group(lulu) , Gulfar..etc

I am also a Keralite., and am proud of being one.

cheers

Yeah, people if you're just gonna complain about EVERYTHING in Qatar then just get the [stop swearing or you'll be banned] out of the country! Isn't it enough that they've welcomed you with open arms, given you job opportunities that you wouldn't dream of in your respective countries, given you homes, healthcare, education.. I could go on for hours!

And you spend your sorry nights on a forum bitching and complaining about how racist Qataris are, how badly they drive, how awful the country is.

Have some respect, and if you can't find it in you to have that then just go away.

God it just irritates me that people can be so ungrateful, that they have the nerve to be so rude.

Comparatively there are a lot of good things here in Qatar; obviously it’s not only about fat sal. If someone says he feels good to be here, why do others have to screw his happiness? poor guy...

Every lady hopes that her daughter will marry a better man than she did. And is convinced that her son will never find a wife as good as his father did!!!

By anonymous• 18 Aug 2008 14:32
anonymous

anyway he doesn't say anything bad to disrespect him like this way!!!! or you supposed him to say that his country is a paradise and he came to the hell here (like other nationalities) to be respected!!!!!!

abu.adil

He seems to be a new guy to doha.

He asked for Qatari friendship, and some Qataries have answered positively.

see comments from POLICEOFFICER, Muhammed12 and amnesia.

Why others have problem here?

Who told you people that mallus and Qatarees cant be friends?

who is being racist here?

And about his praises about qatar,

he compares it with where he comes from, he may be right.

mallu is malabari

I think its other Indians who call keralites as mallus but we call them malabaris as they come from malabar coast.

malabari / Keralite is the right word.

I don't know what a mallu is but I'd make friends with anyone and I'm a Qatari :)

I'm not one of those guys who responds to threads though or emails when people asks me to be their friend lol

It has to be natural.
