Another funny joke from air India
Pilot locked out of cockpit; trainee makes emergency landing....
_____________________________________________________
NEW DELHI, MAY 15:
The pilot of an Air India flight was locked out of the cockpit by a jammed door, forcing a trainee pilot to make an emergency landing in central India, officials and news reports said today.
The incident occurred on a flight from New Delhi to the southern city of Bangalore on Monday when the pilot took a toilet break and returned to find the cockpit door jammed shut.
When all efforts to open the door failed, the trainee was forced to make an emergency landing at the nearest airport in Bhopal, the reports said.
“An inquiry has been ordered into the incident,” airline spokeswoman Zita D’Mello said.
“All precautions and procedures regarding safety were observed during the entire process. The incident posed no danger to the passengers or the crew,” the airline said in a separate statement.
Monday’s incident was the latest in the series of security scares involving the state-run airline. Air India is investigating an incident from last month when a plane’s auto-pilot was accidentally switched off while the pilots were out of the cabin.
According to reports, two pilots had taken a 40-minute break from the cockpit and were napping in business class, leaving two stewardesses to watch the cockpit.
One of the stewardesses accidentally turned off the auto-pilot, forcing the pilots to rush back to the seats, news reports said.
Air India denied the reports but admitted the cabin crew over-stayed in the cockpit and that the auto-pilot was briefly disconnected.

Good Morning BTW (:
Very unprofessional conduct. The pilot shouldn't be allowed carrying any flight ever.
Every month some or the other criticism of Air India sounds more like a propaganda than a news. I know it's not one of the best airlines, but I know some airlines which are worse Eg Delta airlines... On my way to US, a child stopped breathing......I tried to help the mother......they opened the emergency kit.....there was nothing in it.....luckily I was carrying my stethoscope with me...I feel Indian airlines are much better equipped than this.
So we are good, trying to be the better & aiming to be the best.
.sun26872...we can atleast try through criticism to make things in our country better. Drawing parallels wouldn't take us or anyone anywhere cos for everything that is not right there is someone somewhere doing or having done even worse than that. Should that stop us from improving ourselves?
Then there are some other airlines whose misbehavior with stranded passengers in case of delay is phenomenal. I was actually threatened by an American steward that I should not bother about my lost luggage & immediately board the available flight, otherwise I will have to spend the night at the air port..........I have also seen Qatar airways staff spewing racist slurs at Indians.........still we Indians are fond of criticizing our national airlines..........Thumbs up Indians!
Well in Air India the news atleast is allowed to get out and to the public domain... Can the same be said about some of the airlines closer to this part of the world or are they all perfect and in very good shape
we keep on hearing about telemarketing, tv marketing etc... so i guess we can call air india's approach of staying in the news "AIR MARKETING" :)
MN- business class cabinet? hehehehe
i think AIR INDIA is the only airlines company which is being a news of almost every month. personally i dont have an experience of flying with air india. but with these news i know how worst is the service and how dangerous is it to travel with them. as rizks said this should be posted in funnies. LOL
MN.. emergency landing in business class???
Brit.. ROFL on ur joke... but y rizks??
There is no safety at all flying in these craps thank god m still alive after travelling for couple of times unknowingly
These careless mistakes if not taken care of properly, could have endangered the lives of all those passengers on the aircraft.
Hahaha :) ROFL brit.
Air India is of the worst flight I have ever travelled. It was five years ago I am not sure about their current systems.
Rofl you poppadum quencher ! :)
I remember when Rizks tried to fly a helicopter ..
LinclonlPilot the instructor showed Rizks the inner-workings and sent him on his way, only asking that he radio in every 400ft.
at 400ft, Rizks radioed in saying "wow! this is so much fun!"
At 800 ft. he radioed in again saying "this is pretty easy, I can do this all day!"
At 1200 ft. he didnt. LP waited and waited, and didn't hear from Rizks! seconds later he heard a crash in the field next to the station. He ran out to see what happened. Rizks had crash landed !
Luckily he survived, "what happened?" asked LincolnPilot
"Well, I was doing fine, but, I started to get cold, so I just turned off the big fan!"
Irresponsible Behavior by the pilot, I don't blame the trainee he might wanted to switch OFF the Air Conditioning, when he felt cold, The pilot she should ban the pilot who would killed the passengers.
risks: she was at the back, with the Pilot in the business class cabinet. She was emergency landing ^_*
Would you fly in a pilot-less air plane?
Already discussed.
Thelo: Never!
Thelonius dont mix up the posts ! :)
I wonder if one of the stewardeess offed the auto-pilot wat was the other steward doing ? playing with her PSP ? :(
this should have been posted in 'funnies' so tat everyone would have a goood laugh ! :)
and yea very GM MN !
