Accomodation in Doha and asking Prices?

I have seen some very impressive palaces and buildings in Doha, but horrified by design and construction of residential buildings in the most part of the city with no provision of Sun light, noise factor, non-existence of double glazing,weather adjustment, and size of rooms and halls.At the top of this the asking price for these tiny, tight holes is UN believable.
I am sure , this poor design and non availability of basic requirements has got nothing to do with lack of financial resources.Then what is this all about?
