What is the minimum salary that would be able to sustain a fair living in Qatar?

Hi all,

With a basic of QAR 2,700 / Accommodation of 1,125 and Transpo of 675, how much would you think I'd be able to send back home to my Family in the Philippines w/o starving my self???

Really would appreciate some feed back as I'm having a difficult time deciding in accepting a J.O. as a Warehouse Lead Man.

Thanks in advance...

Kabayan, you cannot save from that rate, that is most common rate in Saudi but here in Qatar you might be same in break-even situation if thats your rate. You can save something if at 4-5tau basic but accommodation & transpo should be provided by your company not tru allowance. Goodluck

QAR 7000 per month should be ok for you .

You can send half of your salary that means about 400 us dollars or less. Food is so expensive here. At least you need to spend about 800 riyals a month.

a fair living? for QAR.4,500? You must be kidding.

Your basic is for food+householding only.

Your 'Accommodation' is for 1 "bedspace" in shared cheap room

Your 'Transpo' is for 10-12 days of moving within Doha. The rest of the month you will have to walk.

Not sure how is it possible to live on this amount...

Sorry dear, there's no set definition for " Fair living " here, within your salary you have to make it fair enough to meet both the ends. Todays economic life style is tomorrows expensive life here, every thing is fluctuating / escalating except expats remuneration.
