Hello all,

I been here for 6 onths. For the last four month I'm not getting my salary on time. It always getting late. They pay the salary around 10th or later... But thisn't look fair. Even if we ask for it theyare not responding properly and respecting too... I seriously fed up. What can I do now. I just can't sit simply and tell "OK" for whatever they say. What if I complain and where can i ? But it really affect my position or relationship with the company. So it make me worry. Is there any alternative way to complaint without by saying my name?

Thanks in advance,

If you decide to lodge a complaint against the company, there is all possibility they may retaliate by cancelling your visa and sending you on exit. You need to weigh all the options by yourself and then decide on the next step.

If you are company doesn't signed up Auto Payment, then it is tough under Wage Protection System, an amendment to Article 66 of Qatar’s Labor Law (No. 14 of 2004), was approved by Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Feb. 18.

The law states the payment must be paid in Qatari riyals directly into a bank account, or risk penalties of up to one month in prison and a maximum QR6,000 fine.

You may contact Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs or Qatar Central Bank and get the assistance.Only if the delay if for number of employees. But please make sure you are on a safer side before you take any other steps get more advice.

Yes, that's true. It will affect very badly. They can play very nicely. At least if you are getting salary not on time same month would be fine. However, you need to handle these situations from your end with HR partners nicely. It is common sense some time. It is something management tactics. I just giving an hint to move as much as social to get the salary on time.

Few things matters lot for the above statement. Its depend on the organization you work. Normally, this kind of issues will face only with smaller or medium & not recognized companies. If company have nice rules & regulations with proper policies then you will get it on time.

Also, just the labor site once. According to my knowledge in Dubai, salary should be credited to employee account last week of every month. Still it is not implemented completely. However, they are bringing new rules to track all these issues & also employee should not face any issue with these kind of situations.

Cheers

There is just no other way. You will need to disclose your name and the name of the company if you wish to lodge a complain.
