if you're already a qualified teacher, and if you do like this kind of work, what about educational psychology or something similar? ;o)

Occupational therapists in general are also highly sought around the world and salaries are good!

Well. In sweden if I decide to studdy I will get paid from the gov. I will every month get a amont of money so I can get by. If I wish i can get a higher amont of money and then later when i get a job I can pay it back. Like a monthly loan.

So living and studding will not be a big problem.

Im Swedish and moved here to my husband almost 2 years ago. Sense this time I have been working as a teacher.

Well. The jobs I had here in Qatar I got due to i speak great English with not to much accent.

Anyway. Im gonna go to studdy. I just wondered what kind of education would pay of the most when im done.

I think if I get a nice education with a master or doctors degree, I can go around the world and work. From Qatar to Canada and everything in between. =)

that's not quite true, ansu...

I am European and I can tell you it is not as easy to get a job here for us as you think. A lot of companies prefer non-western pple because they are much cheaper.

And it's not true that we're not enjoying it here. Some things are difficult to us, especially if you are a woman.

For me the only thing is jobs - there is very few interesting opportunities... ;o)

Thats very true, you do't get paid for your Qualification in most of the job here in Qatar. But in some sectors they do consider, thats what I have heard. I do't have a very good opinion about getting job in Qatar according to your qu .If you have contacts in big company you'll get through. Or if you are a native English speaker ,even then you have good chance of getting a job but compared to living expense of European it is't much.European do't enjoy their life here in Qatar. They find it quite boring. But if you want to study further I will definetly support you as education is something that can not be compared with any amount of money or anything.

In some point of your life you may not have money but you'll always have your qualification that will help you in getting social status and respect in the society.good luck.Go for some Business Administration kind of studies.GOOD LUCK.

Well... time is money in fact! coz if you're studying, you can't work much, so you need money to support you and so on and so on.

In a lot of western countries they also don't ask for Masters.

I'm originally from Poland, grew up and went to university in UK. How about you?

Yeah maybe you are right. But in Sweden i will take my master for free.. And if i want to take doktors degree it will also be free for me..

So for me it will not be such a waist of many. Maybe time.

But then again, there is other countrys to work in. And a master degree from skandinavian is a good thing to have I think.

Haha but yeah, I feel you when you say that you get paid due to your nationality. That sad.

Where are you from?

I have a master's degree, Myriam and quite sadly....

I feel it was a waste of time and money ;o(

Most of the companies do not even ask for that level of education (unless you are a doctor... I hope!)

and the ones that do - list it as 'desirable' only.

If you have bachelor's degree with lots of experience - this will take you as far as you want in most of the countries

Plus... it seems that in Qatar you get paid for your nationality, not academic qualifications anyways...
