Hi,
I am 30 years old from Scandinavia. I plan to move to Qatar to work for an oil&gas company. About me:

- Master degree in civil eng
- 5 years of experience within energy sector
- Current salary is 7.000USD (4.000USD ~ 14.000QR after tax)
- New in oil&gas
- Wife and son (1 year)

The job offer:
- Basic salary: 22.000QR
- Transportation 2.500QR
- Accommondation 12.000QR
- Internet, phone, electricity... FREE
- Annual flight tickets for family
- Health insurance for family

Is it possible to have some saving?
Shall I take the chance?
Please let me know your opinion

it means that I have to negotiate for 30% more than the offer. Honestly, I think that is too much for the company to accept.

Consider that I don't have to pay for accommondation and tax, this offer is appr. 2.6 times what I currently get.

I really need your recommendations and advices ASAP.

Thanks

Can you explain a litle more about why you think the basis salary is too low? Is it normal that Scandinavian with the same experience gets 30.000Qr and then all the allowances on ttop of that?

is right , that will be fair at 30K.

Basic should be closer to 30K for you to make some savings. Beer is expensive as Scandinavia here so you will be used to that.
