Salary rate for Secretary

Hi!

I am new here.  I just want to get some necessary information about working in Qatar.  I am being offered to work there as a Secretary.  How much is the salary rate for my kind of job?  I would like to know if the offered salary to me is worthy.  Also, they offer me QR500 for the accomodation and transportation allowance.  Is this enough for a single living like me?

I greatly appreciate all your responses.  Thank you very much... Smile

xclusive_angel: no i didnt think that way, and with the content of your previous message makes it obvious, and i just took the benefit of the doubt.

and what i meant by you fell with the trap, was you FELL for that Poster SMK1361's trap question. I didnt mean , you fell for the trap of going to Qatar.. HELLO! read between the lines......Well... maybe you really wanted to present yourself in the first place...  ;)

And also, if you are clever enough, you could have searched the forum first to get more ideas on the salaries and cost of living, before firing such spoon fed type of question.

well you seem proud about ur looks though he he he.......

i rest my case here.... ittekimasu!

No it doesn't salaries start for Philippinos @ QR 3000,- if she is getting

starts with QR4500 (beginners/meaning no work experience yet in Doha). I think that's fair enough. If you know your forte of being one, to start with QR5000-up is not bad. Just be smart & presentable....no need to be like a fashion model....(otherwise that would belong you to another carreer)...hahaha!

It doesn't matter - I have at least 10 Phillipinos in my office they are all special, very hard working and kind and keep the office togeher looks are not important.

What is this - your good looks might even buy you a single cell in jail if you     follow this criteria.

Doha has thousand from the Philippinas looking for jobs and your body - good looks will by you nothing, let alone 23 years old  no experience  in anything especially in the Gulf and nothing to show if you get QR 5.000,-- it is too much for you. be sure.

oh, ok.... here it is...

Let's start with my age, im 23 years old

Appearance : 5'2 in height, 115 lbs., strong personality (maybe, thats all for my physique)

Experience : I am working as an Engineering Secretary in a Japanese engineering company for 2 years and 5 monhts here in the Philippines

Nationality : Filipino

Am i qualified enough with that? haha...  WHAT

That's a joke. QR500 for housing? Try applying for another company. Don't sell yourself short because once you're here, you'll have a lot of adjusting to go through. So, might as well settle for something good and worth it.

Try QR5,000 for your basic with accommodation (provided by the  company as well as transportation going to and from work).

Cheers. ♥

@xclusive_angel: oh my god, you actually fell for that appearance blah blah trap?

jeez....

tonikakku!, depends what kind of secretary you are,  it can range from 5,000 or above even reach 10,000.

but the housing allowance? kudaranai! you can only live with that on sharing a room. (bed-space).

nasa pilipinas ka pa ba? (are you still in the philippines?)

ja na!

All of the above may be right, if you are locally employed and you get

QR 5.000-- take it for a start, you need connections  to get into a good company, and the companies who are offering the jobs, many opt for the posot themselves, take Key Resources, i.e. any good jobs on the market the personnel take it or give it to their friends - inside knowledge.

and you don't know who much will cost you accommodation? for 500 you max can find the room sharing with other 6-7 "secretaries" in one of the industrial camps... if you are ready for that, no problem.

secretary might earn from QR3,000 to QR 15,000.. all depends...
