Salary package for an Oracle/SAP consultant

I am a fresher looking out for a job in Oracle/ERP. Every interview I go, they ask me for the package I expect. I have done by PG in MCA and my academic records are excellent. Based on that, I answered, in one of my interviews, that my basic salary should be more than 6000. Then he asked me for the total figure, so I said 11-12000. The interviewer asked me to reconsider the figure since I have no experience in the field.

How much should I quote?

very honestly speaking....jobs in doha are not paying much initially.....i am an engineer from a top college in india and i had gotten a job from qatar airways that paid me 3500...thats it....its a different thing i quit it like in 1 month..but thats the job scene for you.....you can be hopeful and ask for 5000...which is around what Cisco gives to its fresher employees in doha....
