I think generally the salary expecting ranges lies between the 1200 to 2000 according to the country currency. Sometimes it will be added an advantage to getting more salary. Once go through the professional reviews about the salary packages.

hotels Kewick

It would vary depending on the level and nationality you might find one for 2000 or might reach 5000

I suggest that you use also the online recruitment sites like:

monstergulf.com

bayt.com

qatarlabour.net

it will help you to see the salary range too

good luck

Qatar is a melting point of diff nationalities and we, Filipinos are one of them, proudly. We are not "boycotting" any position/s but we are getting position/s in an establishments because of our capabilities, experience, potential, education, good manners which I think you did not acquire and lastly very good english speakers. On a more personal note, there is no such word as "Becarefull".

hotel jobs are cool but when it comes to salary, it sucks! they dont pay much but u ll be gettin commissions on reservations and they ll provide u with accomodation and food and everything but u wont be having enough time to see us :) or go out and enjoy. their working hours are bad and they have curfew at the accomodations.

Rezirosca, your Romanian Languge is good enough to give somebody an advice. I think you are very right in your comments.

Beatrice, you have a lot of good ideas from everybody here and I can understand that the job you are looking for in Doha is not recommended. 1000QR per month is nothing eaven if you don't want a night life.

Try to understand the cost of living here. You can read a lot of coments on this topic in both: QL and RG on QL.

Think about it.

It is simple, westerns are treated different here, they have all the privileges. And you are among them. But do not leave home so soon. Take your master degree, work for one year in oil and gas, or any other job you may like and then come here. Do not make the mistake to come here without master and no previous work experience. You will be disappointed.

Succes

Becarefull with those Filipinos working with you, they might try to boycott your job for less money,Then they will try to hire their own "grandmothers for cents" If they can.

The original poster is a Romanian national. And the responses are from Filipinos. Please don't compare the salary scales of the two. Back in 2006 I had an Eastern European acquaintance who worked the bar at the Rydges Hotel (which is no more) and she earned way above what's quoted here in the replies, which is a pittance.

in hotel range usually around 1000-2500, free sharing accomodation, free laudry, free transportation from accomodation to work place, free food. usually 2 years contract with 2 way ticket or it depends usually in the contract but most of packages are like that. God Bless

thank u for the reply...:)

well i said i read it somewhere...not that is not true :)

2nd...i surely don't want that...:) and as much as i gain experience in a domain i could look for others in case i'll want to work in other place...:)

contract is of two years not one year..

second thing, if you don't want to continue your job. you can resign and go back to your country.. because here the biggest problem is of sponsorship, they will never let you go easily..

By beatrice_elena• 29 May 2011 14:54
beatrice_elena

aha...i understand now...and i read somewhere that the contracts r made for one year and after that u might have the possibility of continue working in the same place.am i right?

it depends on the package itself... usually they give accomodation, transportation...free meals if you are on duty and free laundry for the uniform... and tip of course... it depends if its personalize or centralized

Enjoy the life doesn't mean "adventures" by the way I have some friends working in the Rits and Marriot Hotel and they says that the salary is not good at all. Please keep in mind that once you get a job in the Hotel you are under Hotel sponsorship and you must live in their accommodation.....you cannot go to live with your boy friend/husband.

Good luck
