I've received a interview call for the post of Senior project engineer in RAS Gas. (Indain origin)

can some one tell me with their past experience and information shared with others about below:

what should be the salary for the post?

what should be accomodation allowance?

what about education allawence?

is there any other things RAS gas use to offer to Senior project engineer?

The post of Senior project Engineer falls in which grade?

is offered and I can give you a fair assessment.

If it is on direct KBR, than its good. But if its with KBR manpower provider, than you need to dig deep.

As for accomodation, its good. You'll live in camp, no pollution as such, food/laundry etc provided by employer. Big indian community, plenty of recreational activities. Not a bad life.

Word of caution, consult this forum before signing contract.

Thanks Chief! I think commuting to Doha is out of question as it is an hour and half journey each way... will have Camp status. This is for KBR -  any idea on the Camp accomodations, food, evening relaxation ? How does on pass time there?

Yo Prem The whole of Ras Laffan is either on...at....below.....above....around with Gas yo. Or Maybe you would like to live in Doha and commute daily or best of all dun take the job LOL

SHell GTL Camp is abt 3 km at the very most from job site. depending on yr "middle staff" status you may get a room to yourself......if you are shell , EPC or vendor. But if you working for the sub-cont to the EPC ...errrrrrrrrr I have no comment

I have got an offer to work in the Ras Laffan area on the Pearl GTL Project. Any idea if the industrial area is gas polluted? How are the camps there for single middle staff personnel? Is the worksite a big area and the camps suitated close to the gas areas?
