Salary & Benefit Expectations

Hi All,

My husband is planning to start to look for jobs in Doha to move as soon as a decent job is secured.

We will be moving from the UK and my husband is a Software Developer with 7 years experience. He has a Bachelors and a Masters Degree with some Microsoft Certifications.

When searching for the jobs, there are some companies that do not mention the salary for the job and there is no clear information given about the benefits included in the package.

What I wanted to ask is that with his experience and qualifications what kind of salary shall we be expecting and also what kind of benefits can be secured. I understand that the benefits vary from company to company but just wanted to get a rough idea.

Thank you all in advance for taking out time to read the post and giving the invaluable information.

@ SD_QL: Thank you for your help, he would be looking for a Software Developer (.NET) role, any pointers where he can search for vacancies will be a big help.

Since you will be migrating from UK, I assume that you folks would be leading a decent life. Although you have not specified anything about the role he is searching for, at his experience, skills, certifications and most importantly the background with which you would relocate, I recommend to ask for at least 25,000 QR per month. Also ask for the educational allowance (in case you have kids), travel allowance (sponsored trip at least one a year to your home country) in addition to 25K amount.

All the best for the job search!
