Salary for Architecture Field with Govt Co.

Hi I have been offered a package of QR50,000 (salary and housing allowances) in the field of Architecture with a government company in Doha. I have more than 10yrs architecture experience.

I've not visited the company personally. The interview has been done via phone after being referred by some contacts.

Could someone please advise me if this is a reasonable and good offer? What are the other salary/allowances components that I should take note of?

Thank you.

Above mentioned salary is little under as my information, it should be + housing , medical , car and other facilities etc. I know one person MSC Civil structure engineer manager post is taking 50 + house alloance and other all facilities in private co.

Reputed companies in Qatar have a good salary structure.

If the above salary is all inclusive, be aware that medical and schooling is quite expensive here.

Also Qatarisation is being implemented full speed ahead, especially at Managerial Levels. So travel to Qatar with the knowledge that you may or may not stay here for long.

Hi Lyndon_Joseph & Snessy, THANKS for your comments. Appreciate it.

As far as the company is concerned I have no doubt about it. But just like you, I am surprised with the package being offered (which I have been told is inclusive housing allowance). Position offered is a Senior Manager level.

I have totally no clue about the salary scales in Doha. Perhaps you could enlighten me?

Thanks alot.

figures true or my eyes have been fooling me around? Time to visit my Optometrist.

If really this is true, research about the company before anything else.

This is a big amount and it might be half-true and half-scam.

Good luck though. Be careful.
