Qatar Hub Center Controller
So I just finished the first step telephone interview for this position. Anyone have any info on what I can expect compensation wise.
I am an MBA with 20 years airline experience at a major US carrier in the operations control center and international customer service sector.
Any info on the length of time for a response for second step, what to expect, and how to prepare?
Is this a core Qatar position or its ground services company?
How are growth opportunities?
Problem is that I am now getting several offers from employers.....
Thanks to everyone responding.
Hi,
Is this an OCC Controller offer? If yes, then the position seems a bit too low for you who is already a manager and has 20+ years of experiences.
Think2
QR is really a bad employer. I would never ever recommend some one to work for it. They hired me for a position in Commercial Deptt. and once I got there to work they started pulling back the benefits in the name of *Policy Change*. First they took Allianz Health Insurance and told me that under new policy I and my family will be covered under Govt. Health Card which is of course not of that quality health care.
Secondly, when I was negotiating the position they told me that you will be given a "new" and "fully furnished" 2 bed accomodation. But when I got there they showed me a "10 years old newly acquired" accomodation instead of "newly constructed" one. Similarly thier definition of furnishing is quite different from a general understand-ing of a fully furnished accomodation. As there is a housing crisis in Doha so you be lucky to get an acceptable accomodation from QR without a loud shout or fight. Otherwise they will put you in hotel for 5-6 weeks and start showing you the Apts from the worst available.
I dont know why QR hired some one from USA with a Masters Degree in Computer Science along with 8 years of RM experience for 7 world class airlines while it can not take good care her/him. Employees are human capital of an organization. Similar to aircrafts they should also be treated as vauable asset of the comany and treated respectfully in terms of thier needs specially hosuing/accomodation, health care, work environment etc. And I will consider it a Zero Star Airline. After 5 months of adventure I gave up and quit. I suffered heavy loss in terms of time, money, excitement & enthausiasm as well as quality of life. Now I am back to my home and try to do a very fresh start. So please dont get in this trap otherwise cost is very high.
