Optimal salary for User Experience engineer

Hi,

I have been offered work in Qatar and I would like to know your opinion about how much should I get. I feel I should negotiate rates, but first I'd like to know how it would be perceived.

Me: 35, User Experience engineer with 15 years experience and world class projects in portfolio. Concept maker and innovator.
Family: me, wife, kids 5 and 14 years old.

How much do we need to live comfortably, and save a little wad of cash during - let's say 5 years?
