I got an offer from QP for QR15000 for one year contract.I am female. If I am sponsoring my husband and in future if he got any job .is there any problem will happen for QP allowances
I think you will find that within the QP policy, it states that if the spouse receives housing allowance (whoever it is paid by)then one of the two loses their allowance. You may be able to select which of the two you wish to receive.
The contract will not specify the above, it (the contract) will refer to the policy manual that contains the actual wording.
Check with QP regarding this and make sure that you keep a record of the response together with who the response is from.
The reference to school fees will apply only to the Indian categorys school (MES or similar). It will not provide 75% of the school fees for such as DESS or Doha College.
There is always a mobilization date within the department..So actually the department decide...( I guess about 1.5 months from the date of sending your medical..you will be in Doha..)
Along with the medical you will be asked to submit your passport copies..your photographs etc...
Arranging a Visa is not a major hassle for QP..however as I said above its an issue of your mobilization date...
I hope I have addressed your issue of housing allowance above...
IT..Sounds interesting...This is the first time I've heard QP is hiring a female from India directly and offering a visa (Generally they prefer local hire of females on husbands'/Father's Visa)...You must be really talented...Welcome to Doha...Your offer is in line what has been offered to people hired from India..
Whats your position in the company?? If you dont wish to be specific..In what Division..Atleast that will tell you whether the contract has chances of renewal or not..That will help you decide on the move...
If your husband lands a job with the Govt. as per local and QP rules ..Only one of them is eligible for housing allowance..In case he lands a job with a private company..Nothing will happen to QP allowances..I hope I have addressed your question "Objectively".
Do you think that a salary of 15 000 QR/month + 6500 QR/month for housing allowance + 1500 QR/month for car rent will be enough for a couple plus 1 children to live in DOHA.
Mr Niceguy, what is unusal about her situtation unless it is she is female and females don't get many manager type jobs at QP.
I would hate to think she came here because of advice from this website and then found something different, if she worries that her husband gets a job and it changes her status, she better get an official answer.
Yes, most rules are ignored most of the time, but she could be the exception. I just think QP questions of this nature should be answered before she gets in the country by somebody that knows official answer.
She should tell them she is coming, and hubby is going to look for a job, will this cause any problem.
I am not at QP but we have in-country hires that are spouses of QP employees and it dosen't seem to be a problem, but I haven't seen it from QP end.
Helloqatar's being unfair to Dilshad's perfectly reasonable question. Her circumstances are unusual and QP are not renowned for clear advice and consistent treatment, so seeking advice from other foreigners who might have witnessed comparable situations is a sensible thing to do. If we could easily get reliable information from official sources, there wouldn't be much point to this web site! Plus, we all know there are times when it's best not to ask officially, for fear that authority will then have to administer a rule that they'd otherwise be happy to ignore.
Having said that, if you don't get a knowledgable answer soon, it probably is worth formally enquiring as the potential hassles are considerable. Quite apart from the effect on allowances, there's the question of whether he'd be allowed to take employment anyway.
You know, it is scary that people rely on advicce from complete strangers to make life changing decisions. Why not ask this question of your prospective employer? How could you take a job and not have a contact for questions.
Send QP an email and ask, what happens to my allowances if my husband gets a job after we arrive in Qatar.
You need to ask QP that question. Allowances have nothing to do with Qatar Immigration or Labour.
If you sign a contract, you sign a contract. If it doesn't say "if your spouse gets allowances from another employer we will stop paying your allowances" then I don't see how they could retract.
Assuming you are coming on 'family' status allowances, if your husband gets a job with QP as well, then you would obviously both be sharing ONE "family" allowance package, not two. Fair is fair.
I am getting all allowances like housig, travel, car etc.But the problem is I am a female. Now i can sponsor my husband .After coming there if he get any job is there any problem will happen my allowances that QP is offering.

OK, QR15,000 per month is very do-able if you get good allowances for housing, travel, insurance, car, etc.
QR15000 per month
Dilshad, do u mean QR15k per month for a year?
if that is really QR15,000 for a year, you can't make it.
