Hi,

I am expecting a job offer at Doha from a reputed Qatari co.as Finance head( I am a senior CA/ICWA) with the foll.package:-

01. The salary offered is Q.O. 11,000/- per month
02. This position is with family status and the following are provided in addition to the salary.
(a)Furnished family accommodation with water and electricity.
(b) Company maintained car with fuel. Once you obtain Qatari Driving Licence.
(b)Medical facilities for self and family (excluding gynecology).
(c)Air passage for self and family for joining from Bombay/Bangalora/Delhi/Calcutta and return after one year of continue service.
(d)Leave salary and gratuity as per Qatari Labour Law.
(e)The joining time should be restricted to one month.
(f)The salary & perquisites offered are totally tax free and there would not be any deduction on account of this

Is this a good offer that can be accepted?I am a family of self+wife+one child of 11 yrs.

Pl.advise.

Also advise the average cost of living for family like me +educational expenses for my child in an Indian school in Doha.

Here co.is providing fully furnished accomodation+fully maintained car+free medical,etc.

Even after this you consider the basic salary to be 25K or USD7,200/- per month?

Isn't it asking for too much ?

Essentially means...besides food, electricity, water and telephone charges...you can save or spend the rest according to your lifestyle. That and cost of child's education. Here's how I would do a rough estimation.

Food: 2000 p.m

Electricity and water: 400 p.m

Phone: 800 pm[ assuming u have 2 lines]

School monthly tuition: 1000 p.m

Essentially means that u should have a disposable income anywhere between 6000-6800. I dont think that's a bad deal to start with at all. But given your experience and education...is this good? That I am not qualified to answer!

Ask for school fees.
