Job Offer in Qatar IT Company
Hi,
I have recently been offered a package by a local IT Company in Qatar. The Package is as follow:
Basic Salary: $2,000, Transportation Allowance: $500, Housing Allowance: $1,000
===Total monthly salary USD $3,500===
I am a Pakistani national with 5 yrs of experience in IT. I am married and have 1 kid. I would like to call my family to Qatar in about 6 months, if i go there.
Please advice on the salary package as compare to cost of living for a person with family like me in Qatar. Should i negotiate for more?

You had enough experience, you can find much more suitable job. But in my case i will grab that because i am still single and don't have experience like yours. So if I were you do't accept that and instead you can refer me for that job. thanks :D
Its seems like a disconnection. The package was offered in US Dollars not in Qatari Riyal.
Sorry Brother its very very low salary,
even if u will live without family u cannot live in qatar with this package,
because,
1- in five hundred for transportation is not possible.
2- almost one room rent is around 2500 riyal.
3- food,telephone is not included here,
Now u think and decide what u have to do
to rent good flat in qatar need 4000QR to 4500QR min
if you wil stay alone without your famliy and rent one
room
need 1000QR to 1500QR min
very low.. pay is low.. housing allowance is low.. you can't live with your family(happily) with 2,000 ryals.. housing costs waaaaaaaaaaaaay more.. at least 4000( not that great of an apatment)..
maybe if you were alone(have a roomate..etc..) you could live.. but with a family it's very hard!
sorry to say but it is slightly less...negotiate more on the housing and transportation side
