hi,
i have been offered a job in an construction company. i have been offered a package of 8500 QR. travel and accomodation would be takencare by the company. i just wanted to know weather the salary is enough to save something.
TRUE indeed you are right that the salary here depends on the weather....it will really depend on your luck and how you will bargain for yourself...8.5 is not bad as long you know how to handle your account...besides, you're not here to spend...you're here to earn...
you should also ask for a car, health insurance if you have a family ask for their education fees schools aren't that cheap here and it depends on where you got your experience like if you've worked in the gulf, australia, america, UK...you should get more than double if you experience is in jordan syria egypt...go for it
Hello, it depends where your experience is. If it's not in a western country, try to counteroffer to like 11 or 12, which would be okay if you want the Job. it also depends if you have good accomodation.
That would enirely depend on your lifestyle. As they say, it's not how much you earn but how much you save. Heard stories of people getting high salaries and working in the oil industry yet they are neck-deep in debt. One more thing, in the absence of standards your rate cannot be considered low, average or whatever. It's your deal if you wanna grab it bro!

What about the Family Stataus ? For an architect with 10years experience 8500 is very less.

as a single, yes u can save
if i am telling you my draftman from philippine makes a bit more then you on the basic, you judge yourself.
>>> i just wanted to know weather the salary is enough to save something.
well i feel 8.5k is pretty pathetic when u have 10 years experience!..... i got half that amount being a fresher!
8.5k is ok if u've got 1-2 yrs experience but with 10 years experience, no way!
