help understand a company
I am new here but I have been reading a lot of forums since a couple of months ago. I have offered a job in Aamal Company as a Chief Accountant and want to know some facts regarding this Company. I have already made researches in the internet but i need a first hand information from those who have worked in this Company or from those who have knowledge about the working environment and culture. How big is the Company? What is the culture? Are they a good paymaster? What is the culture in the organisation?

Thanks. How much of an annual increments can be expected? Any idea?
I figured them to be tough as they drove a hard bargain when negotiating the salary. Even after agreeing on the gross, when the salary split was given, Basic was only 44.8% of the Gross amount. I have asked that basic be at least 60% of Gross, but not sure if they will agree.
NOC or job release is not allowed by them.
Generally their departments are efficient including the HR, however abnormal leaves are discouraged.
Remember, the management is tough and hard task master.
thanks. so this means getting a NOC after 1-2 years is out of the question. How would you consider the HR department's efficiency? In case of an emergency, would they release you to visit back to your home country in 3-6hours?
Aamal Holding Company is a public listed company and is one of the largest private companies in Qatar, hailing from a very prominent local business group. They are mainly into real estate and hotel business.
With top management from Egypt and Jordan, the work environment is challenging, and moving up the ladder shall be hard. On top of it, sponsorship change is not allowed, meaning you come work and go back.
However, they pay well and that too on time.
