Help for offer review!!

First of All, Salam Everybody!!!
it's my first time on this website, but i hope it will be very helpfull!!!
Here is the situation:
I have a very good friend of mine (he's french/ single/ with 3 years experience). He has been offered a job here for a local company and i don't know if it is a good offer therefore i would really appreciate your guidance.
I can't help him myself, because i work in a very "particular" and "atypic" sector hence no comparison can be made.
- Basic salary: 18 000 QAR
- Housing: 5333 QAR
- Transport: 2500 QAR
- 2 airline tickets
- health and medical insurance
- plus of course a bonus according to his performance.
- the position is based in Doha 50 Hours per week.
is it a good offer? how much can he save?
thank you in advance for the time you will give replying to this post
3 years exp, with this package go ahead--coz ur still single
3 years experience it's a good offer with the exception of the housing.
thank you fatcat for this infos
The POSITION as already mentionned is a sales executive for high tech products!!
"If you don't take risks, you don't drink champ-agne..."
Picasso, you will not find anything in Al Sadd nor in the center of Doha for that price. Prices are crazy in Al Sadd, two months ago you could get a 2 bedrooms for 8.5k, but now I hear from a friend that it is 9.5k a month. And 1 bedrooms are not that easy to find over there. You could find a small flat around bank street for around 6.5 or 7k. And there's something else: being western will cost you more in rent. Weird but true.
The car allowance is very good, above average. You'll manage to rent a car before you can get one for QR1800 (small car like Aveo or Lancer).
I really can't comment on the basic, I have no idea how much a person with your qualifications/experience should be getting.
Personally I think 50 hours a week is a lot, but, hey, if you're willing to work 6 days a week.. They'd have to pay me a lot more for me to work 6 days a week, though, but that's just me.
All I can say is congrats...
As stated by others, you are not mentioning the position/type of job. One can't comment on the salary without knowing the industry and position.
Nevertheless, housing is a bit low. He should be asking for around Qrs.8,000/- I think. That shall get him a flat....nothing fabulous mind you.
Damn Vignale you are fast, your profile picture with the fighter jets suits you well i believe
but you don't say anything about the rest of the offer?...
5333 QAR is low for a studio or a one bedroom flat in al Sadd or anywhere in the center of doha for example???
"If you don't take risks, you don't drink champ-agne..."
ask for housing then its fine
Fatcat, agree with you- accomodation allowance is way too low.
the position is "sales executive for high tech products"
"If you don't take risks, you don't drink champ-agne..."
I can't comment on anything but housing allowance. The amount he was offered as housing allowance is way too low, he won't find anything for that amount, unless he shares accomodation with someone. And finding sharing accomodation might not be that easy for a non Asian.
You don't write what kind of position this is, how would anyone be able to give advice without that information ??
