Engineer with australian passport and education
By Justlivinglife •
Hey guys, i was wondering what a average starting salary for a mechanical engineer who just graduated from Australia. I was born in qatar and would Like to move back as soon as i graduate without any experience. What would i be expecting. I
Would like to see if it worth moving back before i gain experience but personally The quicker the better.
Money isnt all on my mind, i dnt want equiv to australia i was thinking 10-15 riyals. I need qatar more than money :p
If salary is very important for you,I would advise you to stay back and gain some experience in such field as oil and gas, construction etc. With about 4-5 years of experience you can get something equivalent or better than your australian salary. In my opinion this is the most logical step.As a fresher you are no different form tons of indian and philipino engineers easily available here.
hahahaha...:)
You might end up getting frustrated, because your upbringing has made you think before the start of a job about money not experience and career. But since your parents could afford you education in Australia, then they should be influential enough to get a good salary too.
But i have family in qatar thats why
Kudos ! stay back and try to learn from life.
I would never accept that knowing i can work here for a starting salary of $70000 per year :p
If you would come to me than I 'll hire you only for not having an indian visa. Salary will be around Qr. 3500/-
I think gene has given you the feel of being fresh to a job world.
Basically im asking, does having the passport affect the initial salary? Ofcourse there will be interviews and such ...
First of all, no company will hire you without undergoing a battery of examinations or even just an interview, so how could you ask the question when you have not proven anything yet.
A hot candidate will not always turn out to be a hot employee and unless of course you know a powerful person who can just command HIRE THIS PERSON AT THIS SALARY.
