Basic salary of Friday.

I joined my company on 2nd Jan-2015, FRIDAY. My company refused to pay salary of FRIDAY (JOINING DAY ,2nd Jan-2015). They are calculating salary from Saturday (3rd Jan-2015).

Could I get salary as per QATAR Labor law or not.

Brother, don't mess yourself for this silly reason. I think you are not entitled to get salary of Friday, your joining day.

I will suggest you report this very very serious matter to the police & be ready for a flight ticket back to home country..

You should not go into such trivial matters. Since you are new here, you are unaware of how much money people lose here due to unscrupulous acts of some employers. Just overlook this incident and look ahead as coxtown has very rightly suggested.

The day you reported for duty counts and not the day landed in Doha. Be patient and do not get in to labor laws as early as with in 2 months of your joining. Here law says something but your company say many things, you must adjust the situation, try to build your career, make money and ensure your purpose of coming to Qatar is achieved. Good luck.

how you can join Friday its holiday in Qatar, If u started work on same day then your are eligible for salary.
