when in comes to pay hike...some gets an increase but not necessarily the 20% your talking about.

definitely no for the people who are really working hard. But for the people who are too lazy to actually work and just spend the entire day chatting with each other and checking their Blackberrys/iPhones, they get a whopping 60% increase in salary. Oh, the irony. enjoy your stay in Qatar. ^^

Hello dear friend, Regarding the increasing of expatriates salaries it is depend on the company which you are you workind for if your boss decide to increase or not,so the lately salaries increase from Government to Qatari citizens only & does not apply for expatirates. Good Luck to all

There are rumours but sadly thats al they are.

it's true but substantially higher than 20%.

Nationals = Earning money to spend only

Expatriates = Spending life time to earn money only

Moral = A bird in the hand is worth than 2 in the bush.

yes, it was rumor in Oct11, all expats in govt sector in my office will get 10-20% increment..but in Dec11, it was confirmed no.. :( not sure abt new rumor in 2012..

yeah how I wish it would come true...so that it will be FAIR...even if its only 20%...because we are not just sitting or only listening to phones at office.....we do the hard job for them though..hmmp!!
