is 18 th dec holiday for pvt firm

Is national day on dec 18 th a holiday for private companies,or if working will they provide overtime.please some one clarify regarding the labour law

Yes, it is a public holiday

Annually, you are entitled to following holidays with full payment:

• Three days for Eid Al Fitr

• Three days for Eid Al Adha

• One day on the National Day (the 18th of December every

year)

• Three days decided by employer

• If there is a necessity for you to work on any of these

holidays, you should be paid a compensation

(2nd Tuesday of February is also added to the public holiday list as National Sports Day)

Yes. Its a day off for all public and private sector. I am not sure about OT.
