Job Offer

Hi,

I received a job offer with a salary of 22000 QAR per month as a senior staff. The grade was 15. I have over 16+ years of experience in the field

I earn around that salary before tax in the UK but have an excellent pension with the company. Around £1500 contributed to my pension per month

The house allowances were 12K, 2k transport allowance, and school fees up to 44K per child. I have checked some school fees for British schools are 70K. I have 3 kids so this could amount to quite a large top-up.

Can anyone provide any advice as to realistic British schooling costs and living costs in Qatar for a family of 5

Is it worthwhile moving for roughly what I get paid already?

Regards

Qatar may have an advantage over your current place of work. In Qatar there are no taxes while your salary may get taxed in your country. Its for you calculate what you could save should you decide to switch jobs.

Frankly, with the salary you are drawing right now, I would suggest you stay at your present job. British schools are costly in Qatar and you could send them an email to find out what their fees are like.

As for cost of living, you could easily manage within QR3000 per month. This would include your food, electricity & water bills. cost of gas for your car, plus other miscellaneous expenses. I am basing this assuming the accommodation in Qatar is company-provided.
